It looks similar to the VSP on my PT-1445. Pump and piggy back pump is made by Eaton.

The piggy back may be an eaton (cessna), but that hydrostat isn't......look at the link I provided, it's the same pump as the Hydura Oilgear, the control lever cover assy that gives it away

I have removed the pump. It was just the manual overrides that was stuck on solenoids, the electrical function is ok. I really need to know the brand of this pump ( Se picture ). Is it a good idea to have a look myself inside this or let a profesionall gay handle it?.View attachment 292398

Did you say that your drive was controlled by solenoids?

The lever on the pump in the last picture looks like a manual lever to move the squash plate.

When I will make my PT as new, is this the right wheel engine to use? Surplus Center - 28.3 cu in HYD WHEEL MOTOR W/5 BOLT HUB

If you replaced all four, would probably work.

I believe I would get a parts manual from Terry so you get a hyd motor that matches up with the other hyd motors. He should be able to Email you some data.

If you use a different hyd motor, say a 25 cu in, or not the same cu in displacement, then the rpm for that motor will be different that the rest, with the same GPM.

What is the manufacturer and numbers on your current hyd motors?

Can you verify whether the motors are in a series/parrallel arrangement?

Did you ever contact Terry. He has been most helpful to all of us.

Check the shaft size also. It is probably a tapered shaft, and hub.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if that main pump is for for/rev and the solenoid was for 2wd vs 4wd .....or speed control (series vs parallel)

You could be right, but never seen them use the pumps for anyting other than for/rev.......it would be a waste of an overcenter hydrostat pump to configure it that way.......the swash-plate design is much more efficient and more expensive to do so

as always, someone (other than factory) may have jury-rigged that way

I wouldn't just buy a new pump till you tear it down and inspect the innards.......the rotation group will either be trashed or pristine......usually openning these up will help determine that.......where you said it crapped out all of a sudden, it will be quite obvious if it is the pump

Changing hyd wheel motors with anything other than the exact same displacement will be a nightmare if they are different.....be carefull

Took a peek under the lid. Found pieces of metal, is the same as the entire oil system is packed with pieces of metal? Well no turning back I guess. Dismantle the rest. Any concerns? Do I have too clean the hole hydraulic system? Buy a new pump? See attached photos.
