Hydraulic SSQA Plow Troubles

I say this again, a DA cyl will work.

You don't have to be in regen.

If regen is in the first part of the lever, then go past regen to the power mode to move the cyl.

By all means read up on all the regen material.

It could cause some confusion.

Ok, I'll bite, I just had a wisdom tooth pulled so this shouldn't hurt as more than that.

If he could stay out do regen as you say, then why does he need the DA cylinder in the first place? Couldn't he just use the two SA cylinders ha has? Wouldn't this had been settled a while ago when he learned of the regen issue?

In regen, one of the work ports on that spool is blocked so the other cyl can not return the extended fluid to tank.

And yes, he can use SA cyl but not in regen.

I see what both of you are saying, it makes sense. I just do not have a valve like that, I can not operate it out of regen. I have hooked the plow up and tried it again- all the way to the right, slowly to the right whatever. Does not work. At some point I will grab a DA cylinder and I really think that will work like JJ says like a dream, and the reason I think that is beacuse on my grapple there really is no mechanical advantage to it- It is just a small thumb really and it works great. Maybe I will just pin my cylinder from that on just for the **** of it to try first.

The L3200 is usually supplied with a 3 position valve: Curl, stop, Regen dump. A 4 position valve: Curl, stop, Regen Dump, Power Dump (no Regen) is available from Kubota. Non-regen dump is all the way to the right if the tractor is equipped with the 4 position valve. The 3 position valve will operate a single DA cylinder.

I just went threw this exact same issue on my l3800. Finally figured it out and my fix was to switch to divertering the loader up and down. Not as preferable for angling plow but now I can curl and clamp with grapple  jj do you have a link to the relief valves your talking about I should probably get some

With only the Regen function on the dump stroke, if you connect the DA plow cylinder so the rod extends when moving lever to the right it will work. Hook it up the other way and it will lock stall in 1 direction.

I am late to this thread. But if you do have the regen dump, that is the first position on these tractors.

Pushing ALL the way to the right is power dump and should make the SA cylinders work just fine.

You cannot use a crossover relief valve with a DA cylinder. Fluid volumes are different. Instead you will need two separate pressure relief valves on each of the hoses, each with a return back to tank. Not a ton more money, but more complex and more plumbing than using 2 SA cylinders and a crossover valve.

And for the added complexity and cost plus the cost of a DA cylinder, I would see what your dealer would charge you for the loader valve that has power dump also. But that is assuming yours doesnt already have it. Any pictures of the little stickers that tell you what the valve does? When you push to the right, is it only one position? or can you push further and there is a second position. On mine, there is a detent. Feels the same as loader down vs loader float...
