* Rite ON = Like I said .
Anybody that don't like a rocker foot pedal just don't know how to apreciate them.
Either that or they haven't learned how to hate 2 pedals.
...Seriously speaking, what absouletly killed the Kubota for me was the pedals...I can not stand that rocker pedal. I'd rather do my work around the house with an old fasioned manual shovel & rake then a tractor equipped with a rocker pedal.
What about a strap or stirrup over the forward pedal that would allow you to pull up with your toe to engage reverse? Don't know if it would improve your situation, but would certainly be simpler than changing to dual pedals.
For that matter how about a pedal to the right of the forward pedal that just pushes up on it through a simple see-saw mechanism?
Does your buddy have any pictures of this ?
Hoogy
This is not my tractor, but one of the same model with modified pedals. I laugh everytime I see this picture. Love it!![]()
Those are great, now he just needs an old fashioned foot dimmer switch with the tiny barefoot pedal to complete the modification. This is not my tractor, but one of the same model with modified pedals. I laugh everytime I see this picture. Love it!![]()
***I'd really hate it if my BXs were like that.***The two pedal setups are really hard to run while in certain positions like standing up trying to see the tips of your forks going into a pallet etc.
***I'd really hate it if my BXs were like that.
I do this a lot.
The Kubota setup is the worst. Why would anyone put brakes and direction on the same foot?![]()
While I like the heel-toe hydro pedals on the Kubota, I have to agree with you about the brake pedal placement. The only way you can use the brakes for turning is if you have the cruise control engaged. Deere gets around this by putting the brake pedals on the left and having no clutch pedal.
BTW, those are cute li'l implements in your quick-change videos!
OK, sorry, I couldn't resist. No offense intended. Horses for courses, as the saying goes. I'm sure you can work that Power Trac in places even my Kubota wouldn't fit, let alone my JD. Heck, even in places a Kubota BX wouldn't fit.
You have to stand up to see what's in front of your tractor?
I know, I was just ribbing LB.I have to do the same, as well as any one else who has a HOOD!![]()
I like the JD 2 pedals on the right and brakes on the left.
With the e hydro, those brakes are the most unused controls on the machine, I could get by if they were not even there.
JB.
If you want to see a whole bunch more videos of it with some other attachments, click on my little animated tractor icon in my signature. That takes you to my Power Trac web page. Then click on the video page link. Have fun!![]()
