Hey, if you're in Michigan ZZ, and only an hour and a half from Bryan, maybe he's not far from me either (also Michigan). Maybe this can be a midwestern TBN get-together. Let me know the details. I can't add much to the solution but would love to see this thing come to life.

Fine by me, Rob. I have plenty of room (Suburban) (maybe share with a couple of pooches).

I'm starting out from I-96 & US-23 area (Brighton). Bryan is awaiting some parts. I'm off from work whole week after Christmas, so that would be the time frame. Looks like destination is east of Toledo. There may be a more direct route for you. Stay posted.

Anybody else? Don't want to wear out Bryan's welcome but these episodes are fun for me, especially without the pressure of having to get something working immediately because "it's gonna rain tomorrow".

I was by your area just last Friday zz, on my way to our Farmington Hills office. I'm near South Bend, Indiana which is a couple of hours from Toledo. I'm off next week too, but my task list is piling up. Would love to make the trip if I can, let me know when.

ZZ I did give you a pm but Id thought Id let the others know as well, as of my situation. Thanks to all for the interest and willingness to help weither it be in advice or to come from an hour and half away.

I have just recently purchased 6 acres of farm ground across the street from where I live now. As time went on and a barn went up this past summer I have gotten interested in TBN and the thought about haying this field that we presently have. The wife and I are planning to purchase an additional 6 acres. next to the current 6 we have now. Anyway after a little research my plan was to pick up the equipment I would need at farm sales (probably older equipment) try to fix if needed and to hay with this equipment(Basicly as cheap as possible since only have 6 acres as of now). So the 14t presented itself before a tractor has, its the old cart before the horse deal.
But thats where I stand looking for a tractor, rake and mower.

As far as coming and helping me out getting this 14t in time or in shape or teaching me the ins and outs, THE MORE THE BETTER!! I need alot of help! So anybody that would like to come over is welcome here!

I will try and line up a few bales of hay and a tractor to see if we can get things that far along. Other than that I should have new twine knives, shear bolts, ready to go. My work schedule next wk I have to work the whole dayon 26th and 28th, so that leaves us with thursday(which I can get of early, probably noon, or wait till wkend) its up too you guys. So let me know! thanks Bryan:D

That was pretty cool to make the trip. how many showed up? What was the final outcome with the baler?

fill us in: A guy who can fix a chink baler is worth gold this year. Pric eof hay being high everyone is bringing old balers back to life.

Hey guys I thought I would chime in! I have been busy with the kids fair this week. Luckly its only about 7 miles away so I can come home feed rest of animals and do chores.

I finally got a chance to cut my hay for the first cutting it has been raining everyday or every other but this week DRY! Which leds me to a few questions.

1.) What direction do you cut a field. I think you go counterclockwise first round. After that do you go back and forth starting in the center or do you just go in a clockwise till you finish the field?

2) Next question how much, many rows can a 14t handle? I guess I am asking how many rows do I need to rake together? to bale.

I have few more questions buy that Can wait I have to get back to the fair! thanks !
