By the way, when you take something intricate apart, you can either shoot still pix or shoot a video so you can figure out how to get the silly thing back together again. Camera's don't lie, neither do they forget.

Yes it can. As a matter of fact there’s a thread here on TBN that indicates even some members’ KIDS have cell phones!!!!!

I think he may be pulling our legs... I am sure he has figured out by now his smart phone can shoot video's.

Yes I’m sure he is.

He may not have thought of using it for that application though. Sometimes people have tools at hand that they haven't thought to apply to certain problems. Unless their last name is MacGyver.

Then there's some of us that THINK our name is MacGyver and get carried away with improvising rather than spending a few bucks for the right tool (more often because we are too lazy to fetch more tools from far away shop).:D

" Unless their last name is MacGyver"

Unless of course, it involves picking up a perfectly functional GUN the bad guy just dropped, instead of running away and trying to get enough aluminum shavings together to "MacGyver" a makeshift bomb

I almost missed out on the ENTIRE Stargate series 'cause Richard Dean Anderson was in it - finally watched a couple episodes, saw him pick up an MP5 and actually know what it was for... - mighta even made me a TINY bit less judgemental - but probably not  ...Steve

Yes, that was "interesting" how Macgyver would run from a perfectly functioning firearm. But hey, Hollywood had an agenda in writing even back then. Always find a way to make hunters or shooters look stupid, and anyone that ever tried to defend themselves with a firearm always got it used against them, or always shot themselves, or were proven to be a bad person to start with.

Seriously, I did know my phone could shoot video and have taken losts of stills, but NEVER once used the video. Maybe not even a 6S. Was the 6, but had the better camera in it. Yes, I have started to take pictures of how stuff was hooked up.

Maybe part of me that's a HAM, VE3TFE, from the early 80s, never got over children having superior personal communication to anything I ever carried around. Can you hear me now???? lol
