Well done on your new purchase, Internationals tractors are hard & tough. I would recommend finding a second hand good carb, But our idea of fitting a bush to the carb is a great Idea. There is a difficulty in getting cast to finish clear and smooth though. Carbs are very sensitive area's that don't work with air leaks.
So search a vintage parts tractor mag or vintage tractor club. Like others said building another carb with the same port & outlet size holes and mariaging it to the engine via an adaptor plate would be a good plan.
I had the same issue with an old Volvo penta out board, I made an adaptor plate & fitted a new carb of different brand type.

Nice work! I may have missed it in a previous post... what year is your IH 3514?

I have not been able to find any data that tells me what year it is. My best guess is it is late 60's or early 70's-based on a serial # on 1390.

So, once again I'm back after a long absence. I have been very busy and have not had much time to work on this, and in the middle of this I somehow acquired and restored ANOTHER tractor that is actually all completed now. I will try and post up about that one when I get a chance-it's special!

Anyway, that doesn't mean I haven't gotten anything done here-but I have obviously long passed my hopeful 3-4 month period of having this thing finished up!

Perhaps not surprisingly, this thing has WAAAAY more issues than might have been at first evident. And I am so far into it now there is nothing to do but see it through to the end.

The only good news is, I have learned a ton! Like to not buy non-running tractors that look all beat up! But I have also learned a bunch about hydraulics, equipment in general, and things to look for in equipment.

This things like an onion-I just keep peeling and crying! The list of problems has gotten so long-I will just try to hit on some of the highlights here for anyone who is still following this thread.

Lets start off with the front pump area. The pump coupler was just about worn out, the pump bracket was for some weird reason welded up with a bunch of junk, and the front motor mount was unhappy.

Here is the coupler and the pump shaft. Kinda hard to tell, but the splines in the coupler are nearly gone-and for some reason, they never had full depth engagement.

A bunch of internet parts searching turned up a part that matched the original part number as NOS at some dealer out east somewhere. A call to them on a price for this little beauty developed a nearly 800 dollar price tag! and they weren't even sure it came with new isolating bushings or was even actually the correct part! Correct or not-I wasn't about to part with that kind of scratch, so I hatched a plan to fix the one here...

Here is a closer look at the worn splines.

Here is the 12 dollar spline coupler I found that had the correct spline count-

And here is the coupler getting bored out to accept the new splines-
