My favorite attachment that I have made is the QC. It makes it so fast to change out attachments.

Next favorite in the root ripper. I have used this the most so far and it is a beast. I have been clearing a fence line with it and I am supper happy with how it is performing.

Next I made a 16" bucket. I have a 10" bucket that really but that does not do good to dig a very big hole. (Note 16" bucket is a factory option for the CB65 backhoe)

Then I made a lift attachment. I have a QC and switch to this under one min so think it will be useful for some projects. I also welded a hook on my factory bucket.

The last project was for a smaller bucket to dig gutter drainage trenches. I made a 6" bucket.

If you are wondering total cost here it is.
I have $160 in steel from a steel surplus shop. (I still have some left for other projects)
Bucket teeth and extra DIY pins for each attachment was $90
Total cost was $250 for all attachments. The backhoe is a very expensive attachment and I want to make it as useful as possible.

I think that is it for for making stuff for my backhoe. I may make a ballast box over the summer.

Thanks, I am a YouTube welder (I am still learning) and I cut everything with a porta band saw, Jig saw and angle grinder.
My father-in-law lent me his drill press. I cut the bucket brackets then tack weld them together and shape them. I drill them together so they lineup.
The drill press is a must to drill through two 3/8" steel brackets.

Awesome job! I was just getting ready to put my rock rake on my hoe so I could do some clean up in our neighborhood ditch...if I get a pic I’ll post it up I’m sure it will look funny!

Someone asked how much I saved over just buying these items I made. That question encouraged me to do the math.
They do not offer most of these for my tractor except the 16 bucket.
But I can find similar products at Bxpanded. This is not exact but close.
They don't sell a lifting attachment but the receiver is similar in materials.

Bxpanded.JPG
shipping $55 $1,363 shipped
16 Bucket shipped + Tax $609

Total $2,027
My cost to make - $250
Savings $1,777

I LIKE YOUR QC , DID YOU BUY THE PARTS OR DID YOU MAKE THEM ?

Do you have a pattern on it ?

No patterns. These attachments were not built that way. They all were cut out with hand tools one off’s. I have a harbor freight 12” disc sander to help shape it.
Since I bought surplus steel, I had to be creative on some of the designs.

You're great! I will see if I can find and follow you on YouTube!

I also want to make some of my own items but just haven't gotten around to it.

Thanks for the complement. No YouTube channel.

I finally got to dig a little more than a test dig while with my DIY 16 bucket.
This thing holds a lot of dirt. It takes a little more finesse breaking through the surface we have hard red clay.
But then it did very well.

Unfortunately, a GC just isn't heavy enough to efficiently do some of the tasks we would like to have it do.

Now that my property is done, I only need my tractor to do the smaller jobs it was intended for. So, I'm happier to have small tractor taking up room in my shop.

Nice work on your attachments.

A 16" backhoe bucket is an OEM option for the CB65. I am not asking it to more than it was designed for.

I made a rock rake. I used it some this morning. Once I figured out you need to angle it and do more passes pushing the rocks to one side it worked really well.
This was my first time using a rock rake.

I made a 12" bucket for my backhoe.
This it for making backhoe attachments.
I have lots of options now. All scrap yard steel.

Someone else wanted a 6 bucket. That is the only bucket I have not used more than a test dig.
I will be putting in gutter drains this summer.

I had fun making them but I put to much time in them to be able to sell them. I am sure you are joking anyway.

Here is a picture of them all together. The circled one is the OEM one I made the rest.
