Use roll pins that crush into the hole and stay put. They will not stick out on either side. This method will cost you approx $20 per item to have them i-match ready without the need to swap various bushings and adapters back and forth between items. Remember that the i-match will solidly lock onto the bushings, not the implement. Once it is holding the bushings tight, you are good to go.

The big ones with the fat end are nice, but they cost $30+ per set depending on whether you buy them at TSC or JD. the one advantgae they do have is that there are TWO holes, so they are more flexible as to mounting. They can be slid outwards if necessary by about 1/2" See the previous pix.

Thanks Gordon. It looks like the bushing picture in the part number you described (VU12828) doesn't have holes for roll pins? Or do they? I know mine did not. I agree the fat end or shoulder is probably not absolutely necesary . .but that is the only bushing i could see with roll pin holes. In fact, my TSC didn't even have roll pins that would fit . .so I'll need a set that includes them. $30 a set is great from my perspective as I'm looking at $130 a set!!

My dealer said he would order my PM03015 part number at $12 although he doesn't have a pic and can't confirm what it will be.

The bushings do not have a hole. I was suggesting using drive pins on the large 3/4" shaft itself.

The large ones with the shoulder are TSC item 0265325 $22.61 (most little baggies have no roll pins in them). I went and looked at my year end summary from TSC. They track all your charge purchases and sent you a yearly recap with date bought, prices paid and item numbers. I could have sworn they were closer to $30 per set

That P/N is for cat 2-3 We need 1-2

You need both. You use a small bushing to go from the Cat 1 pin to a Cat 2 and then the big bushing goes over it and goes from Cat 2 to quick-hitch. That's exactly what the JD kit does.

When I bought the JD kit,, it was $60 for the kit and it comes with both sets of bushings, it's not $60 each.

Thanks again. My dealer is going to order a pair of the part number I noted. He says if it isn't right I don't have to take it. If it doesn't work I will go with TSC or Speeco.

I emailed the ealrier link to the georgia supplier re: the speeco kit. He replied
and is going to calculate a price to ship to Canada. So that might be a back up as well.

You guys are really a wealth of info . . . and your effort is really appreciated!

I'll let you know how things unfold.

Well, I didn't make it to TSC today - will try again tomorrow.

Looks like you have a couple leads now anyway.

I'll report what I find when I get there tomorrow or Friday.

OK - Finally got to TSC.

Here is what they have - exactly as pictured from above:

These are one piece bushings. I grabbed a CAT I pin, and they fit it perfectly.
One thing I noticed is that there are 2 holes for the roll pins which gives you the ability to mount them in flush with the shoulder of the CAT I pin, or extended outward about 1/2".

These were in a bag as a kit containing:
2 bushings with the big end
2 roll pins
(just as pictured in the image).

TSC's bar code on the package: 087196140444

Cost was 23.65, plus 1.42 tax (6%) = 25.07

They have 5 kits in stock (according to the computer).
I will be getting 2 for myself on my next trip.

I like the fact that these bushings are one piece, and have two different holes where the roll pin goes through giving you some adjustment if necessary.

Has anyone found these online at TSC? I have looked and looked and can't find them there. Unfortunatley the closest TSC is about 3 hours away.

That pix is TSC sku 0265325 which was $22.61 last fall. Check the little baggie for the roll pins. Most of the bags are missing them.

Their description is: Cat 1 Quick hitch bushing

Thanks for the added info. I still can't seem to find them online. I'll have to check my local dealer and see if he has anything.

I was just at TSC here in Ontario and TSC Canada does not deal with Speedco. But they are going to try finding another supplier. I'll keep you posted.

Isn't it possible to replace the Cat 1 pins on the implements with Cat 2 pins? No bushings required, but, the implements would not be available for Cat 2 usage, if you were to lend them..

/ I-match bushing question #34
Sometimes the holes in the implement for the Cat 1 pins are too small to accept the threads of a Cat 2 pin. Depends on the implement. Can't hurt to try. I'd measure the hole then measure the pin threads at the store.

Just as an update. I order the part PM03015 (as I attached earlier) from my dealer. They arrived and are exactly like those pictured in the TSC post, although only one per pack with one roll pin.

So one bushing (with the big end) including a roll pin for $12.95 canadian or $9.95 from US dealers. That equates to about $25 per pair in CDA and 20 per pair in the US. Equal to TSC in the US, I suppose. And waaaaaaaaaay less than the quoted $130 per set for the other part listed by the canadian dealer!!

I can't confirm yet how well they fit or if I need a cat 1 to 2 bushing between the implement pin and the new bushing part. I assume I do, but I bought those at TSC for $3-5, so I'm OK there.

That's great to hear - a little home work and patience paid off!

Well . . mostly help for you guys . . .but i guess that counts as homework!

Thanks again. I hope other Canadian read this and save themselves money. JD Canada has to pull things together and ship the I-match with proper bushings and information to the dealers!

Are they heat treated??

They appear as if they could be.

I can't imagine what would make something so simple be so expensive....

/ I-match bushing question #40
The color pics posted in this thread are all the JD kit. Here is the last one in the set (I took them all) showing the JD part number:

I am not sure about the heated treated part, but the black bushings are finished in black oxide. They rust very easily. I would get the speeco units which are zinc coated and likely won't rust. And the Speeco units have fewer parts.
