Thanks JJ. It seems that both ways have their drawbacks. The diverter draws from one of the function ports of the loader valve, temporarily disabling it. The third function valve is either all on or all off but I would still have full use of the loader controls. I guess i'm leaning more toward the seperate valve. It seems that if I buy the package from EA, they offer a little off. I'm still doing the numbers and trying to pick out which grapple I really want.
You will learn to tip toe around the 3rd function operation it will become natural to you nuttin to it... Dunno what Grapple you are looking at but I would get one with two hydraulic cylinders and two arms... I got a 60" Grapple and would not want one bigger it lets me get into some tight places..
I got a WR long 3rd function kit ($800 dealer installed) nuttin to installing it a boy scout can do it... If you Google 3rd function you can also find you can get the 3rd function valve and roll your own from hydraulic surplus center for about haft a WR long kit.... I have already had a hose leak the dealer warranty it
