389 hours, turbo still doing it's job nicely.

Popped a front knuckle seal. Everything is oringed these days so all you need are 2 seals and a cotter pin for the steering tie rod nut.

Lots of metal in each lower front end final drive, there is only one way to get it out and that's to remove the lower seal/plug and drain it out, maybe flush it and refill. Then replace the lower seal plug.

Pix below and NO MORE GD PHOTOBUCKET for me, everything got deleted because I refuse to pay Googles blackmail fee!!!

Regards, Fred

And I do STILL HATE MY TRACTOR! 7 payments left and she goes bye bye.

No seal issues here but I have ripped up my boots. Twice but that was on me... as I was going places I shouldn't have (debris piles) with my BX.

Rust on the sealing surface, I use the machine to blow snow and it gets put away in a heated building to thaw out, dry and that's what happens. I bead blasted the knuckle and painted it nicely. It's an easy job and would happen every few years I'm sure.

From now on I might spray the joints with oil or spray grease as a precaution.

Wouldn't this same problem affect any brand of small tractor?

Fluid Film!!!

Fluid Film!!!

When I restore or detail a tractor that may have been outside for a while or have rusty bolts or parts, I spray a little Fluid Film on the rust and, if stored inside, the problem is gone forever. The metal eventually gets a patina to it and the rust is gone. Great stuff.
