Gee, it's too bad he was working in August, since it's not very steep the other months of the year. :D

And here I was thinking it was the special model Lamborghini intended to be used solely in the ITRA (Italian Tractor Racing Association) equivalent of our stock car racing. The shaved tread on the lone driving wheel in the left front is to help it negotiate the left turn only dirt tracks while throwing lots of dust in front of the opposition with the turf style tires on the other three wheels. This one has had the safety cage removed entirely to reduce unsprung weight and lower the center of gravity so as to avoid the dreaded rollover accidents which plague the series and almost resulted in the elimination of the sport.

I'd enter my Yanmar but anything over about 6mph rattles my brains with those rice tires. Do they have an event for grey market tractors?

Speaking of racing, in my rambling around on that website I also saw a picture of a JCB 4x4 that had rolled going down the highway. Yep, going down the highway. Seems you can get one with a 80kph gearbox. This driver said he was going 65kph when he lost control!!!! Holy Cow!!! :)

No, the ITRA stays with Italian made or branded tractors only. You can enter a Fiat but not a Ford, a Goldini but not a Gulag, etc.

What I want to know is - do they have any steeplechase events? That "flat track" stuff is boring! ;)

We could always start a new event here. We could have different races for Ag tractors, combines, CUTS etc based on horsepower.

My money is on this thing - note the "matched" front tires... for "more better" left cornering... no doubt :p
