Man, you have a major problem.

Since you seem to be a JD dealer, bashing a kubota that was tested 12 years ago, let me care to enlighten you a bit.

Oh ya, call me out for "bashing". Please, this is the JD section in case you forgot.

I actually think Kubota and other brands make great machinery, so no need to open my eyes either.

The main thing that can't be ignored is the lack of test data available for Kubota. No way for the consumer to verify what they are buying. Maybe you take their advertising for gospel; not me.

Not calling you out, just pointing out fact.
You mentioned a kubota that failed a few tests, so I mentioned a few JD's.

And I do NOT take advertising for gospel. I have been around long enough to know better.

What I base my opinions on are the following:
MY OWN PERSONAL experience.
Testing out equipment before buying
Reviews and opinions of people I trust
and the reviews of people o sites like these.

And if anything, I feel my tractor is actually underrated be kubota.
I know for FACT that my FEL will lift several hundred pounds MORE than they claim.

And this isnt just about kubota, but ALL tractors in general. You mearly pointed out 1 kubota that failed a few things. So I pointed out a few JD's that failed. Thats life, I dont think any less of one brand or the other based on those results.

And you ask why more kubotas arent tested...well kubota is just starting to get into larger tractors. Which are still small by comparison to the 500+HP tractors of other brands. That is mostly what they test...ACTUAL farm tractors. MOST of us on this site are just SCUT and CUT owners and NOT real farmers. So let me ask you, why is the 4320 the smalles ttractor JD tests??? Why no 790's or 3320's or 2320's ???

Thats true, mostly big tractors, but they also test a large number of utility tractors and large frame compacts from most manufacturers around the 35 pto hp mark and up, in which Kubota has many models.

As for the smaller compacts not being tested, I don't know why. I would like all to have independent testing published.

I don't recall PoorPlowBoy saying anyone was stupid for buying green tractors (and just so you know, John Deere isn't the most expensive Green tractor on the market, that honor falls on Fendt and I think Claas is second, heck, even Deutz Fahr cost more then JD around here). He also wasn't telling anyone to buy a Yanmar. So why the childish play on his name?

Your right. Pretty childish. Plain ol pot stirrin. But isn't this whole thread a bit childish? My dad can kick your dads a**

Here...here......I thought this thread was about the JD/Yanmar relationship, not the shortcomings of JD vs K.

REV

I'm ashamed that this thread even saw the light of day. Actually, this thread didn't have diddly squat to do with any manufacturer's relationships. He simply chose the wrong guy, because I like all the different colors of tractors. Variety is the spice of life.

Heck, I've been shopping for a 5083E for awhile now and the only thing I've really had to watch out for is the paint color cultists like JDgreen227.

I would like to thank the guys on here that applied logic and good common sense to see right through the OP's shady attempt to start a purse fight.

If you're going to quote me, then you better get it right.

Here's the thread

Here's my post.

Two points to make.
1. I don't appreciate someone who can't understand the simple words I type without misconstruing them and attempting to cause issues based on your misunderstanding. Stop trolling.
2. You give other JD owners a bad name by name calling and acting a fool regarding "cheaper" tractors.

Newsflash: EVERY comparable tractor is cheaper than JD, simply because it isn't painted green.

For the rest of the peanut gallery: I never once spoke ill of Yanmar. I'm quite fond of them. What I'm not fond of is paying green paint prices for them though they are great machines.

My apologies to PoorPlowboy... After reading the post that was quoted by the OP, we've been baited guys. In my opinion, PoorPlowboy's response, when taken in context, was perfectly fine. He's not the elitist here.
