I'm Confused - Joystick, Switch or ???

You say you are getting the Deere diverter. That is what I have. To use it, you flip a rocker switch, then use the joystick. I should not be hard to find a switch to put on your joystick and not use the rocker switch. I don't think you need to get another diverter. Also, you did not mention that you got this, but Deere has a kit to run hoses and quick connects to the bucket/grapple. It plugs into the rear 3rd valve or the rear diverter connects. JC

Yes, but if you do it that way, you will still loose either the TOP or TILT, and you will be swapping hoses all the time, very inconvenient!

Also remember: when the rocker is activated, the joystick works BOTH rear ports, so you won't be able to raise the loader while closing the grapple. This would case a lot of confusion I think.

Please read my response above in post #13. He will loose all loader control just to open/close the grapple. And if he accidentally moves the joystick for/aft while trying to open/close the grapple, he will operate the hydraulic TOP link. Plus he will be swapping hoses all the time...remember he is getting a TnT setup!

I re-read all of the posts and I guess to accomplish what I want to do is best accomplished by adding the Fasse or WR valve, both of which will supply the joystick. The WR kit says it is designed to work off of the power beyond but power beyond was not an option on the cab model, I had to go with the electric diverter. I'm sure some people are reading this and just laughing...

The diverter is the right choice IMHO.

I'm not saying you don't, because I didn't read all of the post in order, but I hope everyone understands the difference between a electric diverter valve and a electric 3rd function valve. That may be a point of confusion for some reading the post.

You just muddied the water! I assume that an electric 3rd function valve is exactly as it sounds...it is a 3rd valve controlled by an electric switch. A diverter will divert flow from the loader to another function therefore disabling the loader until it is not diverting any longer. Is this correct? If so then I could add an electric solenoid to the 3rd valve?

Sorry I gave you some bad advise. I'll continue to use my 3rd valve to open/close my grapple and keep it simple. JC

The "electric 3rd function valve" he spoke of is the one from WR Long that needs the power beyond loop. The diverter valve from WR Long diverts the fluid from the dump/curl circuit to the grapple-THIS is what you want.
