I have been out of town so did not get to respond until now. KENTT did a very good job of explaining about repair shops. To be fair, most of work that I needed was calling a welder who came to my home. This would have been the same for any type tractor.

Just good old common sense is your best asset. Thread title is misleading. This machine is nothing more than a hydraulic system connected to an engine. If you can analyze and replace parts on your Kubota, you will have no problem with a PT. If you feel you are not qualified to mess with the systems, then a telephone call to the PT, or a good friend, and as a last resort, a good hydraulic shop, a small engine dealer, a tire shop, a good welder. About the only thing left is the electrical sys, and even that is good common sense. If you have or would read this forum, you can fix just about any problem. Dealer support is not practical simply because of the distance. If you live close to Tazewell, Va, , you should have good dealer support. You can ship items back to PT for repair or replacement. There are some guys on the forum that will break down a hyd pump or cylinders and fix them, saving time and money and gaining experience as they work. You can normally ask a question on this forum, and have your machine up and running rather quickly. It is always a good thing to know the basic and theoretical operational of the machine that you are using.

Hey, Jim. Click on the little animated tractor in my signature and that will take you to my website with lots of pictures and videos of it in action. Mine is 4 years old and the newer models are even better. Enjoy! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks... those videos took a while each to watch with "Dial-Up" but were well worth the wait. This machine is a very good versatile machine. The next time I go up to visit my Grand Parents... I will be sure and stop in and try one if they have it. This would do some things that a standard tractor would take more time with. The articulate system is very nice.

Tazewell is worth the trip. Very nice showroom and testing grounds, and great people too! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
