what a weird winter. hardly any snow. think we've had maybe 4' . every time it snows, it rains. anyways used the blower after last couple of snows. had powder and slush. blower has made a 100% improvement with impeller kit. didn't notice a big difference on powder snow but wet snow and slush throws great. no plugging.

I have a front blower on my tractor. Its a new erskine 72" 540 pto. My problem is it doesn't throw snow very far and plugs on wet snow. Found an impeller kit online. Idea is to create seal so snow doesn't build up in shoot. I measured a gap of over 1/2" between impeller and housing. Any one have experience with kits? Thanks.

Which kit did you use? My meteor 68" throws snow about 8-10 feet which works for my needs on my driveway but it would be nicer to have more throw when using it on my parking area. Did you have to remove the impeller to attach the blade extensions?

I am pretty sure Clarences impeller kit is the one he used.

some of the folks remove the chute and spout and work from the open throat of the impeller to drill the holes ans some of the folks remove the impeller and do the work in a vise. Clarence hasd tow kits for smalll snow casters and a second kit for bigger farm tractor mounted snow casters.
