My tractor is parked in a garage between my house and my mother in law. A few minutes with her, and they will be calling the law to have themselves picked up.
I KNOW WAS MEAN OF ME!

Hundreds of "CARE BEARS" decals regardless of the paint color but a rainbow paint job should also be effective.

I had a 1943 Ford military issue Jeep that you could leave the key in without it being driven away (very far.) First you had to press a "SECRET" button before twisting the key to start it. If you did hot wire it then it would run for 30 seconds and quit with the horn beeping and all the turn signals and headlights flashing. 30 seconds should give someone time to get into the road in traffic before being stalled with lights and horn going berserk. Typical thief would rabbit.

The security system used a 6NO30 (six N.O. 30) time delay relay to accomplish the relay switching to get the effects. I suppose you could get a modern equivalent 12 N.O. or N.C. 30 or whatever time delay you like. The 6 or the 12 indicates the operating voltage. Jeep was 6 volt.

We ham radio types or other techies could put a hidden radio transmitter on a tractor or other vehicle so it could be located after the fact. There are ways to use the AM/FM radio antenna as a VHF or UHF antenna in a non interfering manner as regards AM/FM operation. The current draw of a locater beacon is low and could run for a long time. Even if the tractor battery ran down, eventuallyl when it was started up and taken out for use or shipment it could be tracked.

Seems the ATF agrees with Patrick_G and Silverdollar6, which makes the statement I made incorrect. Apparently a driver can carry a concealed weapon in a commercial vehicle anyplace he could carry it in his personal vehicle, providing he has a concealed carry permit.
I stand corrected.

I'm sure glad to hear that and not for I told you so bragging rights or the root beer float.

I am very pleased that a large segment of taxpaying citizens have their right under the constitution to protect themselves, continue unabridged by their occupation. If it was widely understood that in general a trucker was armed there would be less chance of their being picked on by criminals.

Contrary to the concerns of the misguided but extremely vocal minority, states with "SHALL ISSUE" laws have not seen an increase in crime and lots of shootouts like a cheap western thriller but have experienced a decline while states without "shall issue" have experienced an increase.

Gun crime perpetrated by licensed concealed carry folks is virtually NON EXISTRANT in crime statistics.

So lets see now... concealed carry folks aren't causing problems and criminals are a bit more apprehensive about trying something when just anyone might haved a gun.

What is the downside?

Yep.. looking at demographics.. CCW licensed people are on the very low side of illegal incedents.. and class firearm 3 license holders are even lower...

In Oklahoma (I never applied for class 3 lisc in California as if they would issue... ha ha) One of the first things on the application is a place where the county sheriff has to sign a statement about wanting you to have the class 3 permit.

You have to fill out a section where you describe your intended use. I put down, "All legal uses." It flew.

There was a bit more scrutiny/screening for the class 3 than for the concealed carry so that may explain the difference in the stats. No where in the rules does it say you can't have a class 3 concealed but I usually don't.

The ATF agent I talked to said I could carry in a commercial vehicle, so I asked if it was ok to carry class III in a commercial vehicle. He said no problem, but we both agreed it would be a major problem when you crossed the state line, since you have to fill out another form and submit it, with class III.
That CLEO's signature is just another form of gun control. We had a sherrif that wouldn't sign, despite the fact that it was legal here to own class III.
Finally got rid of him, and got one that would sign. Current one won't sign for a silencer, but most other stuff is ok.
The sherrif that signed for my silencer only did so because I was well recommended by someone he knew well, and the fact that it was part of a deal to get a gun, the silencer just came with it. (for an extra $200 permit)
The Stakeout I bought is a very good thief determent, and the permit for it was only five dollars. It is very much more distructive than the machinegun (.223) ever thought of being.

Here in fl the chief LEO has to sign a statment saying they have no info that would bar you from owning the class3.. etc.

For my 'intended' use section, I have always put down 'personal collection'.. and never had one kicked back.
