I think with hope and change you can provide a better contribution to TBN by suppling the alternators to!

Did you buy the alternator from Kubota? How much? I recently posted a new ND 40a alternator from an Ebay dealer for $129. Works great. Kubota wanted $550.

BTW, I can't get the zip file to open either. Maybe post it at Kubotabooks.com.

Also I bought the kit direct from Messicks. The kit included the alternator, bracket, wiring harness, bolts, fuse, poor fractory instructions, etc. Messicks shipped it to me and I had it in a few days. The costs was something like $179 plus shipping.

Oh yeah that looks good, works fine there.

You should post the P/N to save the poor soles at the parts counter(us and them!!).

I called all over and best price I could find for my B3030 was $217...oh well..Im glad I installed one at least

Thanks for the update Sully2, now I need to get some tig welding lessons from you. I picked up a Syncrowave 250 and I see your postings under the Hobart form.

For those of you who might be interested in buying a 40amp alternator, there is a Fleebay seller (seven states supply) who keeps posting new 40 amp alternators (16241-64012) for sale. They run 65-75$ a pop.
Remember that the alternator has a wider diameter (5.5") than the Dynamo so a new bracket needs to bought or manufactured.
The alternator also has built in voltage regulation so external rewiring is required to change the existing system.

I have received the alternator from ebay, $87 shipped.
It came with a bonus alternator pulley / belt cover... they were all brand new.
It also came with the correct bracket that allows the mounting to the engine block (slightly higher and angled).
I do need to order a few additional parts:
1) wiring harness $44
2) Relay ($15)
3) 50 amp fuse ($5)
3) Longer VBelt ($10)
4) Skinny long bolt ($4)
5) Bolt spacer ($1)
extra parts total >> $79

Grand total >> $ 166

No great savings there when compared to the kit... oh well.

I will be installing these parts in about 1 month.

called messicks will not fit my b7200,they said they thought the wiring would be the problem and the mounts would have to be modified
