Installing a loader...How hard is it?

I have experience with a Woods loader installed on an L3450 by someone else. What a mess! Took me hours to make everything right. From what I see, non factory loaders do not fit correctly and need custom fitting to make a good installation. An experienced person will know where to look and what to do - otherwise much time is wasted and perhaps some damage done.

Our Bush hog loader fit both tractors perfectly. (Same mounting kit) Nothing extra had to be done to get it to fit.

No shimming so that joints could draw up tight without bending something? No holes out of alignment? Better than I saw with the Woods.

My Bush Hog FEL came in this week, and I opted to install it myself. I'm about 1/2 way done and am glad that I did it myself. So far I have one question. I have the line that goes from the loader valving to the fitting that goes in the fill hole for the tranny. The line is 90" long, which is really long in comparison to the size of the tractor. I read somewhere that it is usually routed under the operator's station. Does that mean that it goes toward the back of the tractor, around the seat and over to the valving, or under the tranny some how......??????????? It is on the left side of my gear shifter, and needs to attatch to my right hand control box.

Well I got my FEL installed in about 6 hours. Not bad for a first timer on a FEL I guess. I bled off the air in the system, and added about one gallon of hydraulic oil. I am busy making my ballast weight, and have a toothbar to put on yet as well. It's here, just got to drill the holes and bolt it up.

Yeah, ya know that sounds like a good pay rate to me! And, I got education in the process.;) I ought to ask my boss if he wants to start paying me that much.....LOL! We all know what that answer would be....:D

I'd say you did good Camo. It would have taken me a lot longer than 6-hours. Plus there would have been a generous amount of cussing to boot.

It was very straight forward. I was worried at first because the main manual had very few instructions in it. Then, as I unpacked the parts, instructions started appearing with each kit. Very easy to understand, and there was only one time that I used my floor jack to assist. Bush Hog did a great job. All of the bolts, hoses, and fittings were there, except for the one that you are told to buy from Kubota when you order the kit. Great job Bush Hog!

So where did it go?
