Hi guys -

After reading Sedgewood's website and description of FIRE /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif ! I realized that I don't have explicit coverage on my PT425. How do you guys handle this? Is it covered under your homeowner's policy? Do you have some separate coverage? What's the best way to go, and what kind of coverage is best?

Sincerely,

Rob /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif FIRE!

Suggest you read this thread:

Insurance thread

I depend on my homeowners policy. However, as pointed out in the thread this provides limited risk coverage, and no coverage in some circumstances. If you want all risk coverage you will need a special rider on your homeowners policy or a special policy.

In my case I added specific coverage for the tractor to my commercial "artisans" policy. I financed the tractor through my bank and the bank requires insurance. The tractor gods are looking after me because much to the astonishment of my agent and the adjuster, I have Replacement Cost coverage rather than Actual Cash Value, a distinction that made a $6,000 difference in my case :). And no, silly me, I didn't specifically request it (I suspect it was a typo!), but I sure will next time!
