there is nothing like hands on.many
years ago, i was trying to learn how to
stick weld. an experienced welder was
teaching me. i would run a bead, and he
would tell me what i was doing wrong, and
i would try again. finally he said, i am going
to do something diffferent. i got ready to go
with a fresh rod, and he put his hand on top of
mine, and said, you just go along for the ride,
and let me do the welding. i learned more from
doing this, and found out i was not feeding the
rod into the weld fast enough.
