Is BX22 to Big for my Needs?

great. what size and brand tiller did you get? i've got a bx25 too... your gonna have fun.

Based on your second post, I would say the BX22 is fine for your needs. If you were just mowing, I'd say get a ZTR. If you wanted to mow and do loader work, but didn't need a bh, I'd say get a BX1860 or a used BX1500.

Don't mean to hijack, but here are a couple of snaps of my BX25. The tiller I am getting is the land pride 50" reverse tine. It was not ready as the service manager didn't like how it would attach; the linkage was too short. So they are welding a 5 inch extension. I will have it next week.

The tractor is is next to is an International 254, a 2 wheel drive tractor and about 20 some odd horses-also a diesel. Get your little BX! This last shot is the little BX lifting the old box blade onto the trailer!
The service guy made it look easy.

Just an update, the Land Pride 50" reverse tine tiller arrived last week and I got to use it yesterday. Pleasantly surprised at both the tiller and the tractor's performance. The service manager noticed the angles on the tiller and wasn't happy, he had concerns that the angles would be a bit extreme with the short PTO shaft. They welded an "extension" on the arms of the tiller-works like a champ too! The BX had NO problems with the 50" tiller. Anyone need a troybuilt bronco?

I have a BX22, FEL, BH, 54"MMM. & 1 acre. SWMBO was not a happy camper when I got it, then it snowed. Not a word bad since. :thumbsup: Amazing machine.
