You see gentlemen I have a chat room that is inhabited with farmers,ag-journalists,and machinery dealers from all over the world. We have very open and frank discussions there about all brands and their problems encountered. With the large cross section of users,no brand is treated any better or worse then another.

I would like to join this forum. Could you please give me its web address.
thank you

I really hate to keep this silly discussion going, but people keep referring to what Woodbeef said as "facts." There were no facts presented, only opinion. When I see an article, or some type of official report from a legitimate source in New Zealand, then I'll believe that Kioti's larger models are having problems with bevel gear front ends. Search as I may on the internet, I can find nothing that refers to any problems with Kioti in New Zealand, and we all know how prolific the information is these days on the internet.
All too often there are posts from "disinterested" parties stating so called facts that never appear. I'm not attempting to run down Woodbeef, but a pat statement made without real facts to back it up is nothing but opinion. He's welcome to that opinion, but it should not be considered fact. John

Ok guys,I gotta come clean on this one..........there is one thing that I do have against Daedong. I wish they would have used the green color on the ones they sell as Kioti.

Many of the older ones, and some of the newer kiotis are still green!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif They just get covered up with orange and gray paint though... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Some of the older LB and LK's we have worked on were green under the orange paint. The one DK35 we have in the shop right now has green paint on the upper part of the front driveshaft tube. Couldn't see it though till you took it off. I sure do like that green paint though. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Just out of curiosity, what did you find for of any brands tractors that are experiencing problems in New Zealand? As for official reports, good luck looking. I've never seen any on any tractors anywhere in the world. Not even about the mysterious silent fix on fail recalls that many manufacturers have on going at all times.

Hi, John....sorry, but Your totally wrong! We change not only information at Woodbeefs chat, we have each others email addy, so we can also change pictures or infos we got from our
local agbusiness papers, also we can talk about what our neighbour thinks about his new stuff, his cows or sheep, his soil...and this will be taken around the world.
BTW the Kiotis and Daedong aren´t known here. Noone wanted them or has use for em. Smaller Kubotas and Iseki, some Shibaura.
A time ago I had contact to Kiotis headoffice for selling tractors in Poland, they told me, ,that they have tried, but they had no sucsess by doing so.
I think the Kiotis are not bad....but mostly tractors for hobbyists which do a bit play around at their homes....and off course need a tractor. In my area the guys buying older, smaller agtractors for hobby or hauling wood from the forests.
The new tractors, didn´t matter if it is a chinese, korean or japanese one are very expensive here.

I don't know how this post got past me, but the current one brought this up again. I have been able to find absolutely nothing deragatory about the Kioti larger models or even the smaller ones for that matter in regards to the front ends.
As for our German friend's comment that I am "totally" wrong, no, that's not quite true as my point has always been that we have not been presented with "FACTS," but chat room opinion. Yes, you may be "hearing" some things, but this is just passed on opinion as far as I can see. No one has presented any links to, or copies of, any newspaper/magazine or any other publication that backs up these statements.
Fact is fact and opinion is opinion and I can't understand why that concept is so difficult to grasp. I don't intend being contrary just to be contrary, but I require some sort of evidence before believing a story like this, and it just isn't there. Chat room or fourum, people tend to say a lot things that may not be based in fact, but in their own prejudices. Where are the agbusiness papers to which Mac refers saying that there are problems in New Zealand with Kioti front ends? Not here, right? Okay, enough. John
