I have a Deere in the shed, right beside the Kioti.
I had never heard of Kioti until slightly before I bought one. The reason I bought one was the hydraulic capacity was higher on the Kioti than the comparable Deere(4100). The 3 pt lift capacity was slightly higher. The loader capacity was slightly higher and the price was about 2K less. I also liked the fit and finish better and the overall appearance. I did not like the little tach and what I felt was a large garden tractor compared to a small tractor. MHO, so please do not turn it into a debate.
I have about 200 hours on my Kioti. My dealer is a state away. I have a Kioti dealer 1/2 mile from my house. No warranty work to date. This is a good tractor, just as my Deere is a good tractor. Between my Dad and brothers (I would call all of us Deere men) we have 3-20s and a 30.
The question is somewhat of a good one and somewhat of a joke. What do I care? I will not be viable long term. Do I want Kioti to pull out of the market? No, but I do not think that they want to pull out either. They are doing a **** of a job for me as a customer and that is all I can ask. Right now, for me, they are viable.
I find it funny that this topic seems to pop up in one form or another on this thread from time to time. I truly believe that it is just to see the Kioti faithful defend and the Kioti non-owners debate. It also generates a lot of posts and pages. You will only find out how well the horse rides from the saddle, not on the ground talking. The guys on the horse get fired up when you talk bad about their mount!
Bottom line-put out a good quality competitive product at a good price and you should do well. I would buy a Kioti again. As I said, that makes them viable to me.
