I don’t know that I’ve had elk. I have had caribou and it was good.

I'm not fond of deer myself elk is better than beef for me and I raise beef and yes caribou is tasty.

Also many are heavy smokers and that will do a real number on your palate as well.

My Dad (rip) was on a Navy battleship WWII and worked in kitchen. Cook said "throw the sugar & salt to it" meaning that makes most anything taste good. Dad was told to drain a huge vat of spaghetti which went down the drain...he didn't know you had to hold a strainer over it when opening the valve.

Good wife! I do the cooking and I go through about a half a cluster of garlic a day.

Nobody ever complained about me smelling like it.
I should be incredibly healthy the way we go through it!
Wife doesn't like peeling it, so she gets bags already peeled, it spoils after a week or two. So in order not to waste it, it needs to be used quickly (and generously)!

Try this. It works, although I have to shake it a bit longer that the chef in the video. A glass jar works better than plastic. I never added water to the jar, but it might help.

I just smash the garlic cloves with the side of my chef's knife and slide the shell off. No additional things to wash and dry.

MossRoad inspired me to start this thread when, in another thread, he mentioned the only two foods he doesn't care to eat.
I can't think of a single food I don't like. I'll keep thinking and add it to this thread if something comes to mind. How about everyone else... Is there any food you do not like?

I'm not a big fan of chocolate - not allergic, just don't particularly care for the taste.

Go ahead and say it (I've heard it most if my life).

I'm not one to offend a host or hostess, But I can't seem to get past "Spanish Rice"

Chili and rice, OK! but ketchup on rice is just not my thing ;-)

May be if there were more garlic in it....;-)
