Curtisfarmer,

Missing parts and no pick-up or at home service sounds more like the great dealer you are doing business with and not the company.

This is true, but I consider it one in the same. Kubota means all the way down the line to the dealer for me. I had it resolved ASAP and I still won't let them live that one down. Kinda like a Ford extended warranty I once had, and nothing was ever covered. Oh, the factory does assemble the loader control assembly, so I don't know if the factory fudged it or if the dealer scavanged the parts for another machine. Since I ordered the machine as there were none on the lot I will give the dealership the benefit of the doubt, on the valves, they fudged.

WAXMAN,

You are an inspiration to me and your pictures reveal what has been my (failed) goal for the last 40 years. I try to keep my stuff as nice as possible but plowing acreage or rototilling dry soil makes a mess. Working a regular job and part-time farming has left little time.
When I retire next year, and I better live to see it, one of my goals is to have quipment in nearly as nice of shape as yours.

Well thanks sixdogs very nice of you to say.
If wondering I do use the tractor, I put 224 hrs in a year.
I am very fortunate to have a garage and workshop to keep it that way, the time to play with it, a great understanding and encouraging wife of 30 years. And can't forget my two kids Michelle 16. and John 18.
Not to disappoint you but I'm not that way with everything for sure , Our cars are kept outside year round and I never wash or wax them ever.
I wish my wife and I were retiring next year, I would like to semi retire in the next few years my wife says I am now, You should see the look on her face when I tell her she's going to have to work till she's 72, we're 53 now.
Good luck with your retirement next year I hope you have many many years to get all your goals met and more.

This is late in the game, but I thought I would make these 39 pages one post worse by providing some reference pictures. I received a BX23 registered in 2006 this weekend. It was manufactured in Gainsville, and attached are pictures of welds on the FEL. There is an occasional nib of splatter here and there; the beads don't show the level of artistry of a 'perfect roll of nickles', but they are smooth, no visible gross cratering, penetration looks good to me, and no sharp, undercut edges. I am comfortable with what I see.

, Oh and in my industry, its my job to ensure your welds are FLAWLESS, as the public depends on my work (And yours). I am very diligent at my job for what I see and do could affect millions of people for a very long time, We look for folks that take shortcuts in their work, and deal with them accordingly. This industry pays people generously that take their jobs seriously, and can maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity. There is a very good chance I have worked close to your home, and your saftey depended on my diligence in doing my job.
I will leave it at that and let you figure out where to look to see what it is I do. But I would perfer if you where to think about it before you looked, and see if you can figure out what my job is. I would suggest diligence in everything you do, it will not go unnoticed if you do your job to the best of your abilty all the time and you will always sleep better at night knowing you did your best.

A Hah!!!! Weld splatter.............I won't even start, but it goes to show it could be anywhere, just like anyother welded product. Who cares??? If it takes a close up picture I don't. By the way, all my machines are inside and I am the ONLY one who drives them, my employees drive rakes, and cheap ones to boot cause they always break them. I take serious pride in my machines, their peformance, and they are 1/2 of my bread and butter. I will take images of my Kubotas and their welds by Tuesday (gonna snow up here again and I have to plow, and yes, I wash the salt off every time, and yes who say the L48 is slow, I plow with an L48 with rear blade and make huge money!!!) and we can all see what the industrial Kubota lines have for welding. I have never gone over every weld, but I guess I will try now. From just memory I remember my newest L48 having some thick ones. I posted pics of the machines here on this forum by the way. Good thing I didn't post closeups or you guys would be howling for a recall, how is that for humor. And you guys didn't even think my pound of dirt analogy was funny, but that is what I consider it.
So, pictures by Tuesday. Should I go over my new F450 and older Ford Tractors as well since they were made in the USA as well? By the way, I am so Kubota brand loyal my company work shirts are bright orange, my child has Kubota infant clothes and people make fun of me cause they think I have more Kubotas than I need (we all know they are jealous and we all know who they call when they need tractor or excavator service). I should also say I only use the spilled fuel on my hood to wax down my machines, and before you all yipe, have any of you tried fueling one of those? I also grease the **** out of all of them till the point my wife hates them cause she ruins clothes everytime she hands me my son for a tractor ride. Wife and grease are like oil and water. Anyone else want to post some pics of welds, will thick welds make anyone sick? Beer and pizza at my house if you bring your machines!!!

Beer and pizza! I'm on my way! Think I am just a little to the left of the mountain in your 2nd pic!;)

Tolster, thanks for the info about your job.
The thing about u.t. verses r.t. is u.t is most operator dependant.[if operator is flawed so is test]

R.t. you have a piece of film, where every body and his brother can agrue about it,they can see it as well as the guy who made the shot and interpreted it.

But,after looking at these welds, don't think u.t./m.t. /p.t/e.t.[be real hard to x-ray the fillit weld],is needed,just a very casual v.t..
