Buying Advice It shouldn't be this difficult...

If it was me...I think I'd go with the 3200 with ag tires and then spend the $2500 you saved on a deck on a nice riding mower. Can probably get away with spending only 1500 on a riding mower.

I towed my B2320 with a loader and MMM on a 16' trailer no problem with my V6 Tacoma.

I bought a 4' Rotary mower from Barlows last month for my B2320 which handles it fine so I'm certain the B2920 will handle a 5' with no problem.
Go for it (B2920 and 5' Rotary mower) and don't look back.

Uh, that's some bad advice. You've got to look back ocasionally, or you'll be running over things with that new mower!:D:laughing:

I second that. The B2920 is the same size as my B2620, just more HP. It handles a 60" (5 foot) RFM just fine. I think it would be the same for a rotary cutter. You may want some front weights, but suitcase weights are supposed to be cheap and easy to use. I may get one or two to balance out my RFM.

I bought mine to run over things and cut them in to little pieces . Are you telling me now that isn't what it's for??:D:D And I don't look back, it's to late after it's already run over!!
I'm still working on making front weights out of sakrete and rebar for my B2320 since I didn't get a FEL. My B2320 will do wheelies to easy with tiller on the back.

So on the 3200, it doesn't pick the mowing deck up when your not mowing like the 2920 does? It can't be "suspended" while you do other things? That would seem like a real pain to me. Am I missing something?

The mower deck can be lifted, and kept in a transport position. It is just when you are actually mowing that the deck rides on the wheels which control the depth of cut. So, when you start cutting, you lower the deck until the wheels ride on the ground, but the rest of the time they are suspended. The decks on the B2x20 series are suspended all the time, and the wheels, (actually rollers now with less adjustment I noticed) are only for anti scalp purposes.

I mowed part of the time the other day with the loader off my B2620. In many places thee steering was "light", and I sure would want front weights if I were going to do that on a regular basis. At one point, I stood the tractor up a bit when it was off camber, and I have to say I was just a bit tense for a minute there. I did go back to the garage, and put the loader back on. :D There is no way I would choose a 5' cutter on land with any kind of contour. The weight is just too far back there, and my 4' cutter works fine.

After going and looking at them side by side, I just think the 4' is right. When I looked at them at TSC, they were the same price, $799.00. I wonder how much the 4' Taylor way Barlows is going to sell me will cost? The 5' is pretty big. I know they make a 54" but I bet that's more expensive than the 4 or 5', due to it's not so popular size.

I bought a 4' from Barlows last month. It was a brand they no longer sell and they had one more discontinued brand left at that time that didn't look new but was. Saved a few hundred dollars off of what a new Taylor Way was. Ask if they still have the one left if you can handle one with faded paint and some surface rust but new..

I would go with two machines: a good sized F series for the lawn and would try to find a used full sized utility tractor for the grunt work, an L, maybe even an M that you could put a 6' or 7' brush hog behind as well as do serious loader work. You have too much lawn for a small tractor, way too much for a garden tractor. You also have too much grunt work for a small tractor. The F will make mowing go quickly. A big used utility tractor will perform the heavy work.

I'll second that. Front mount mowers are a dream to operate and they make short work of big jobs.

I thought about getting a F3080 until I priced one.
