James, good call. I've heard of Fluid Film a few times, never saw it for sale. Just ordered on Amazon :thumbsup:
Try your John Deere dealer for Fluid Film. That's the only place I found in my area.

Check the description..."lanolin based rist preventative"....LOL. Good thing we don't get much rist around here!
Lanolin is actually handy stuff to keep around, but in pure form is normally only available at drug stores.

Hiya,
I used to use CRC 5-56 instead of WD-40. Can't seem to find it that easy anymore, must of had some non-guberment approved stuff in it, no wonder it worked well... Since then I found that Amsoil MP works well as a light lube/protection and PB is my go-to for penetrating oil.
For my Winchester M1 I use CLP on the trigger group and on the op rod, bolt and receiver rails I use Moroso Moly paste, it's really thick and it's one of the only lubes that stays where you put it in the summer heat at the matches. I also use it on my M1-A's and the headspace key/bolt shoulder area of my FN FAL's.

The local JD dealer said JD wants to put their name on anything and everything, they can. From children's toys to sunglasses, to shop towels. And, that Fluid Film is one of the few products they did not get their name on, but still endorse/recommend it. I didn't check Snopes for that, though 
I had not heard of it, either, before TBN, but it seems to work very, very well. I was kinda skeptical , but I have used two cans and have bought two more.

By me Rural King sells fluid film.
I bought a can of pb blast a while ago and it came as a promotion with a free can of their lubricant (I think it's called pb50 or something) that I think is supposed to compete with wd40, I haven't tried it yet. I haven't found much that wd40 is good for except cleaning.
