kinda decided on these two tractors I would appreciate anyone who has been looking at these two to let me know how you came to your decision. dealer suppoert is not an issue as they are 2 mi appart and both helpfull, both came in at almost the same price with loader and mmm mower the price is around 18500 out the door is that in the ballpark, the one thing i know for sure i like the pedal configuration better than the kubota other than that i am not sure, also if anyone has a 2520 with a loader could you measure it from front of loader to the back of the 3pt forgot my tape, any tips will be appreciated thanks

Just went out and measured my 2520. I'm at about 139" from the front of the bucket, fully rested, to the end of the 3pt arm, also fully rested.

I was researching the same two tractors one year ago. The pedal configuration and just the overall feel of the Kubota operators seat & platform was a major factor for me. I'm sure many out there are completely opposite of me, but I greatly prefer the JD layout over the Kubota.

The other major factor for me was the dealer. I understand thats not an issue with you, but it was with me.

All else I know to say is that I love my JD. I've had just one small issue with a wheel on the mower deck, but other than that, it always performs well above my expectations.

Have fun in your search!

When I was looking it was also the pedal configuration that was a major factor. So far it has met or exceeded all of my expectations..

Good Luck!

I have the 2520 and I absolute love it! And yes, layout was also a factor for me. Kubota is a great tractor and well built, but it's no JD. JD is a Cadillac compared to Kubota. JD does a lot with ergonomics, Kubota hasn't changed much since the beginning. Most people's reason for going green.

Tried the JD 1026, 2320, 2520, and 2720 and all were good tractors, however I really liked the Kubota B2620, and ultimately went with the B2920 for a little extra power. It's been great. You should be able to get the Kubota deal down to $17600-18000.

I looked at both and got the Kubota 2920. I liked the layout of the kubota slightly better (position of the loader lever seems perfect). I actually like the hydro pedal on the kubota, its in a good position and I don't get fatigue even with hours of use. I also liked the metal on the kubota, it for whatever reason felt more 'solid' to me all around and I'm the type of person who would break the plastic hood on the JD. Specs were very similar, so I didn't see a big difference in either one. I did like the 2920's extra HP because I run a PTO chipper.

The final deciding factor for me was price. The JD price was WAY above the kubota price optioned the same way. I tried a few dealers and even with discounts was still several thousand dollars apart, so the kubota was a no brainer for me. I actually have an older JD and was sure that's what I was going to get when I started looking, but the kubota convinced me to try something new.

I did price a backhoe with mine so that may be a big one. Rear remotes are often used with log splitters, hydro feed chippers or any other rear hydro implement. Did you test drive both yet? Both are nice machines, but have a different feel, so you might like one more.

I can't speak for the Kubota but I absolutely love my 2520. I looked at Mahindra and New Holland and the Deere was the hands down winner. Take your time and make sure you decide on the tractor you like best. This is a major purchase and you should be happy with your selection.
