Not to say you're wrong but I got a little different information and was told that it's easier to fix if you have sleeves, ie you just replace the sleeve but that it happens without the sleeves too. Without the sleeves though you have to replace the whole block. The mechanics I've talked to said it happens in 4 cylinders as well as 8 and bigger cylinders. I was told that it can happen in any diesel motor and has even happened to the liquid cooled lawnmower diesel engines. Now as always you can talk to different people and get different answers but for the small cost of the precharged antifreeze I'm not taking any chances.
