I've just renewed my Norton Internet Security the other day. When I come to TBN now, I'm getting a JD advertisement for free gloves in the header. I never had this before. What gives? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hi John...are you using Internet Explorer or some other browser?

That JD banner has been up there (on and off, I think) for several weeks, at least.

There is a possibility your browser had an ActiveX component disables, and your updating Norton turned it on.

That ad is a Macromedia Flash player ad.
I'm not swift enough to tell you how to disable it (if that's possible). However, should you find out how to do it, it might adversely affect other web sites.

I'd suggest your just ignore it...

No, not really... I build and upgrade my computers. I know enough about software changes to keep me running, but most ads (other then Pop-ups) don't bother me.
Anyway, the advertising revenue helps pay for TBN.

I think I'll leave it alone, Any time I try something fancy, I end up screwing up. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif The banner really doesn't bother me, just wondering why all of a sudden it showed up, and it does help support my habit. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
