JD & Kubota Utility Tractor Comparison

I bought my jd 970 in 1993, afterwards I really started paying attention to tractors of all brands and have always been impressed with the percieved quality of kubotas. The kubotas always seemed to combine a little more industrious strength and thought into the design of all parts especially loaders. deere has caught up quite a bit since then. I think you will be happy with either.

I'm sure they are both good machines. We have a 5420 and I absolutely love it. The quality in the machine is evident when you are using the loader an inch away from your new home. You can trust the smoothness of the clutch and brakes along with the joystick. The bigger tires (compared to a CUT) help when riding across a bumpy field. If your workload is big, you need the bigger machine. They tend to hold their value reasonably well too. Drive them both. My opinion is I like green. (Almost bought orange though.)

Thanks to all for your replies. My research experience, with your assistance, is growing quickly. Dealer visits I can say are informative. The JD 5025 series are slow coming out of production in Georgia with a 2 month wait. Kubota M series wait is even longer with a 4 month delivery. The control layouts seem to be intuitively better on the JD machines(4720, 110, & 5525). I have not had the opportunity to drive the 5325 yet. I have purchased a chainsaw to get started with the idea of going after the smaller trees/brush. Thanks again all and will post a few new questions related to this purchase......Aloha
