Does any body know of a source for the "weld-on "hooks" to make other attachments for the 300 loader? I can make my own, but it would be easier to buy "ready-made" if they aren't too high. ~~ grnspot110

I thought about those too.
What I decided was to make them by cuting a pipe section and welding parts to it. Not as hard as it sounds, maybe a half hour job.

Don't quote me, but I thought you could buy those through JD.

I thought so too.
But over the years, there have been several posts in TBN threads on these brackets. I think it is the best system going. Light weight (especially compared to the skidsteer bracket offered as a Deere option) and easy to attach.

Maybe a search will pop up some good ideas for OP.

Grnspot,

You can get them from JD parts. A couple years back I got those brackets and the lower pins. I got them for 200 loader, but I think it's the same parts for the 300. I think the whole set was only around $60. I definitely thought that was easier than building the parts.

You can buy the "hooks" and "pins" from JDParts...The #'s are:

W47211 PIN,
W43359 HOOK, BUCKET

Or you can make your own with angle iron and CAT3 pins, see attached pictures.

Thanks for the #, I'm working on a set for a 5' boom, but don't have all the iron I need on hand. Have to wait on that 'til Monday. Found the hook on jdparts, $11.99, not really that bad!

I'm cutting up a 3-pt boom I had to make the 5' boom, 3-pt part will make the base for a weight unit. I've got 70# of railroad rail & 2-100# suitcase weights, will make a good start! ~~ grnspot110

You think it would be feasible to make a 70A loader use this system?
I'd really like to make mine a quick attach.

Thanks...

You'd have to replace or modify the bucket (not a big deal, if you have a welder).
You'll also have to replace or modify the FEL brackets that attach to the loader arms.
Feasible, yes... Worthwhile? Only you can make that decision. As far as costs...it really depends on how much of the work you can do.
QA buckets are nice, no doubt...but why, after all these years, do you think you need a QA bucket?

A no brainer. Yes ... if only to shed bucket weight when its a liability.

I am really interested in getting pallet forks and/or brush forks for it. It would be nice to have the QA. I am going to check out JDparts on the brackets for the loader side.
Thanks...

I know the 419 loader had a QA bucket...not sure about the 70. I know my old 670 with the 60 loader did not have a QA bucket.
You may be able to modify the 419 loader brackets to work with your 955 and 70A loader. 419 loader parts should still be available.
Good luck!

I'd be concerned about the distance between the arms. Is it the same as the 419 loader?

It would not matter if he does a custom fab job...It may not meet the true JDQA specs but who care as long as it suits his needs.

The JDQA setup is truly a nice deal for CUT's bcause it is lightweight and does not move the implement (bucket, forks) out further reducing capacity. Some swear by the SSQA system-but that is just overkill for a small to medium sized CUT.

It isn't a weight factor for me, I take mine of when mowing (3-pt finish mower) & the tractor is stored inside, the bucket outside (shortage of space)!

Got the boom finished, both hook & boom have been cleaned up & painted after pictures were taken!

Next, a set of pallet forks! ~~ grnspot110

I'd want it to match the JDQA arm width since I'm toying with adding to the fleet of tractors (another small JD, w/loader & QA) and I'd like anything I have for one work on the other. Forks or whatever I may add.

Pipe dreams mostly.

Nice job on the boom. How long is it?
