Price just confirmed at rural king by a friend who was at one of the PA stores today.
The open station 37 is priced at 21,999 as of today.
Was the price you were quoted for a cab tractor?

Must have been

Looks like base jD 33r starts at 24 with nothing. Prety much knocks JD out as I will not get a 3024E the kubota 24 has so much more

There is an RK dealer half hour north of my property I will stop at the one near my home tomorrow. And wait to see if the 2016 L3301 or 3901 comes in in which case I think I would go for it hands down.

I just watched a bunch of video on the RK and did some quick back and forth between brands.
It seems to me with money being a concern your going to have a hard time getting a balance between cost, weieght and specs worth living with from 2 of the 3 brands that you say are close to you. If budget was close but doable I doubt with what I have read of your posts that I would be coming home with anything besides a red tractor.

My wife would get over it! So the next question is how much forgiveness does she have in her heart?

My friend that went to RK is here.

He just decided on an RK 24 with a backhoe for his 7 acre property. Claims the price comes in under 17,000 and figures the backhoe can help make up some with the few jobs he would prefer to have more wieght for.
I asked him about any concerns lifting things like bigger downed trees and such. His answer was simple
“ a chainsaw cost a **** of a lot less than getting up to the wieght You prefer” he is speaking about the size tractor I prefer not you.

RK is a rebadged TYM and there has been a LOT of debate about the quality of their service people and whether or not they'll still be selling tractors in the future.

Yesterday they are.
They also build some Mahindra models which appear to be some of the better Mahindra offerings.
When I first looked at Kioti all the JD and Kubota folks tried to discourage me from going that route also with a very similar argument.
I haven’t heard any complaints local to me about them that I haven’t heard about JD or Kubota.
The cabelas tractors seem to also be doing good for owners that got them a couple local to me just a switch of service shops.
TYM was actually higher on my possible tractor list than both kubota or JD when I purchased my last tractor and now they have gone with a Yanmar engine making them even more attractive to the buyer.

Honestly I don’t think I would be afraid to buy one any more than I would a JD most likely even less so knowing many of my friends and family have not been happy with JD.
My personal ownership with Kubota would have me rate them a little bit higher than JD but by no means do I consider them bullet proof and above all else.
So with that said and budget constraints it looks to me if I was in this guys shoes the choice would most likely be the TYM built RK tractor.

I actually found this site when I was researching RK tractors. Read a lot of the rktractorguy posts, but he suddenly left and his replacement was on and gone.

RK 24 is out, if I had flat land I may think about it, especially since I could get a bucket. But I can rent a tractor/bucket for 300 a 24 hour period which would do what I need to do (a few drainage ditches)

The RK27 really had my eye, I researched it for awhile. it may again, just Leary because of how new it is.

My opinion only.

Until I see progress with RK and their dealer support system I would avoid them regardless of price.

Then maybe it’s best to do the rental and wait till you can get a tractor with no compromise.
