Thank you. I will check this out tomorrow! Could this actually cause the issue? Regardless, I will check it out and post results. Regardless, I should check this adjustment and make sure it is set correctly. I realize now that this is also in the operators manual!

I went through the process of adjusting the rear postion control valve. It needed adjusting. I also re-checked the hydraulic oil level and it was a quart overfilled!
I removed the oil to the full mark. The loader was much less jerky as was the 3 point hitch. I'm guessing the valve was not allowing full flow to the hydraulics?
The oil was thick, as you would expect at 19F but it was also a bit cloudy.
Perhaps the cold is playing a part now.

You may want thing about changing Transmission/hydraulic oil to a Cold Weather Hyd./Trans. oil like a synthetic. it definitely improves cold weather performance and cuts hydraulic noise. Because all Hyd./Trans. oil flows first through the Hydraulic oil Filter. With cold thick oil and with a Hyd. Oil filter being plug this restrict the oil flow to the pump. the filter may have be plug from medal filling when PTO gears failed.

I highly recommend it be change if you are keep using your Tractor Hydraulic in cold winter weather there is potentially cavitation caused by cold oil and this will destroy hydraulic systems.

Thanks I'll do that. I am unfamiliar with synthetic hydraulic fluid. Can you give me a recommendation. I'll change the filters as well.

I don't know what brand your oil dealers may have or have in stock . See if they can lookup the Manufacturer and model of the tractor to follow Manufacturers Specifications and refill capacity. You want a Synthetic All Weather Transmission Hydraulic Fluid. I have used in past Mobil Mobilfluid LT this might be called(low viscosity or low temp) Use New Holland Filter.
Or see if they can Cross References Mobil Mobilfluid LT.
