Re: Jim\'s Pole Barn Project - hopefully

Actually it was how long it was taking to put the sheeting down.....but his nailer helped too. Especially when I when to build the front overhang and it was everwhere compared to when we used the gun on the rear one. Can't wait to try it out. It is in the house right now and I just keep looking at it.....almost as bad as the tractor books/manuals when I bought the tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Jim\'s Pole Barn Project - hopefully

Jim,
I think I told you this in person, but this is for the rest on those on here.
I was rebuilding part of my deck because I was was getting rid of a built-in hot tub. After nailing 3 new treated 2x4's with screw nails, I went and got a nailer /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
My arm had quit throbbing by the time I got home with it.

Re: Jim\'s Pole Barn Project - hopefully

I did......but the dog decided he was going to replace all those ugly nurses that kept me awake all night. He tossed and turned so much I figured I better get up and let HIM rest.
He must have gotten used to my side of the bed after just one night.

Re: Jim\'s Pole Barn Project - hopefully

I was able to get all of the trusses up on Saturday. Haven't had a chance to get pictures yet because of all of the rain yesterday. Not sure if I will be able to this week before Saturday or not because of the *(^*&^#$*^*#^$# time change. Everything went really well. Only had one little problem and that was on the last few that we had to set all of them on the end and slide back into position. Tried lifting and sliding it with the tractor. It flipped upside down on us. Was a little scary watching this truss flip over and start flapping. Thought it was gonna break. I was then able to rechain it to the boom pole on the tractor and get it flipped upright. They sure look good sitting up there as opposed to laying in my yard. Now I get to start putting more sheeting up. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: Jim\'s Pole Barn Project - hopefully

I was able to get home a little bit early yesterday before it got dark and was able to snap a few pics. This one is looking at the front of the barn now that the trusses are up.

Re: Jim\'s Pole Barn Project - hopefully

This is looking at the right side. This is the side that includes the tractor door.
