Bushy,
I really hope that is not true, when I was in Vegas at the con ex show I spoke to the head engineer of the 110 and he gave me his card,I'm gonna give him a call tomorrow and find out what the deal is.It sounds like that may not be true though because Joereal saw a new 110 at a dealer in Maine,I also called the dealer just to see how it was setup and priced and they do have one and are waiting for 2 more,so hopefully my call to the engineer will answer some questions.

Tags, I stopped by the dealer this after noon, no change with the status of my tractor. Still has not been shipped. Can a dealer get a michine from another dealer as far as Maine? I'm in Northern NY. Above Watertown. This is the way I'm feeling ,send it down, probably not the most practical approach. I guess if I could talk to someone that has one I would feel better about it. One thing that my dealer mention after talking to someone at Deere was... that the prototypes used for the initial promotion are still out there and perhaps these are what people are seeing. This was an explaination that the dealer gave me in regards to reports of people seeing them. The dealer said per the Deere Rep that these machines were marked with letter for easy of idenification. One has "Rent Me'' on it and the other I forget maybe "Buy me". All I know is I need a TLB and I'm lossing valuable time. I think the dealer is tired of hear from me each day. Today at the dealer's, I felt that It was uncomforable there, the manager would not even look my way. Though the salesman gave me a hat which I'm sure I'll pay for some where. If you find any thing out I sure would appriciate hearing. Thanks Bushy.

Bushy,
I talked to the engineer today and got some good news, bad news info.....bad news first....the brake rod on the 110 was folding up like an accordian under lots of pressure,he said this was a minor problem and was simple to correct, the main reason shipping has been delayed is because of a leaky hydraulic pump, apparently the manufactures of the pump had a machining problem so when one of the lines were connected the o ring did not make a good seal hence the leak, shipping was completely halted for 1 week, but now everything is moving again,so I guess the good news is there will be some bugs worked out of the newer machines compared to the earlier production ones.I do have to say as frustrated as I am, talking to the engineer today made me feel like they are doin' their best and they aren't just jerkin everyone around, they don't want tons of machines out there with problems when they can resolve them at the factory.I got my order # from my salesman and passed it on to the guy and he is going to call me on Monday and tell me if it has been shipped or is about to be needless to say its going to be a long weekend.

About other machines.....there is a dealer in Brunswick Maine and I spoke to them the other day,and they do have a brand new 110 for sale, hd 72" bucket, optional front hydraulics,18" back hoe bucket....$34999...is what they told me.Yoyu could always take a road trip/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif The dealers name is Chad Little Power Equipment, phone # 207-729-6716 I spoke w/ Bruce.I know what you mean about lossing time,I have used up just about every favor from my friends that have machines,I'm gonna wait till Monday and hopefully have more info.

Tags,
Thanks for the information. I keep on hear of 110s that are priced considerably less than what I'm expected to pay. This concerns me. Thats 12,000 big ones. I though that my trades were going to work in my favor. It sound like the best way to purchase one is out right. Though I have to remember that mine has a few more option on it, than the optional front hydralics. Originally I Looked at how you were outfitting your 110.

I've been thinking that a machine that is producted two years from now would probably cost the consumer less and would not have as many bugs to work out. I'm hoping with a new machine I will not have machanical problems... this has been my whole argument for the purchased.

Another thing that I am becoming increasingly aware of is there are a number of componet and parts that are maufactured by, other than Deere. I ask is this a Deere at all? When I was seriously look at the L48.... I read something some where that stated that Kabota manufactured the entire machine thus not having to rely on others for parts. I never want to see my dealer's face again... well until the next purchase. They have been good over the years with information, over the phone, regarding fixing riding tractors [older stuff] Trouble shooting etc.... Which indicates that They will be a good service provider though my attitude is changing from tinkeren to no tinkeren at all. Thanks for the information, Bush.

Hey Tags thats a $1000.00 less then what they quoted me over the phone. My price is still better, but then again I don't have it. I have not spoken do the dealer since last Monday. I'll call Monday to see whats going on. I'm staying low because I think I started something between the dealers and the JD rep. It was probably going on before me anyways. I might take a ride and look at that 110 this weekend it's only 20 minutes away.

Bush,
I do think the way to buy something is to buy it outright, that way you know for sure that the number you agree on is the best for you, whaenever i have sold a piece of equipment on my own it allways brings me more money than what the dealer was willing to give, that way it is one less hurdel for you and the dealer. What kind of equipment did you trade, and how did you set up your 110?

Joe,I don't think you should worry about problems between the rep and dealer, its not your fault that Deere is shipping machines to dealers to sell and not getting yours to you first, that sounds like the rep and dealer should have their beef with Deere. If you go to look at that 110 over the weekend, pretend you're runnin it for me too /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Tags,

The pieces of equiptment that I traded were two Ford TLBs, a New Holland skid steer loader L 325 and a Massey 50. One TLB is a 1959 Ford 600 series tractor with a Sherman digger [backhoe] all it needs is some paint. I rebuilt the motor back in 85 or so. Good machine for a homesteader especially since I'VE DONE ALL THE FIXEN ON IT! It will make someone a good machine and I had a hard time letting it go. The other TLB is a 1969 Ford 4500 diesel. A real brute. Runs well needs rubber and paint. The Skid Steer is a handy little machine Looks good with it's new rims and tires. Just had two Transmission pumps gone threw to the tune of 2 grand. The Massey Harris Furguson is a 1956 with a freeman trip style loader bucket though I've had it on the tractor very little. Did the motor back in the 80s, it is most dependable. With it's high and low transmission, it makes a great tractor for brush hoggen and it's dandy for backbladen. Great tires on this machine. Now I'm going to one machine.

The 110 was configured with 55 amp alt. 72'' HD loader bucket, 3 spool SCV w/ diverter, so that's 3 function on the front and 3 function on the rear, 7 function standard dipperstick with aux. hydr. line, 20'' quick couple bk bucket and rear worklights sounds like your's.

Bushy,
Man it sounds like either you like twisten wrenches or (like me) you twist wrenches cause you know you can do the job and save yourself some doe! Yep,your machine and mine sound all most identical,I am famillar w/the skid steer and the 4500(I have spent time on both) and I have to say I think when you finally get your 110 you'll be glad you did, especially not havin to crane your neck to see over the hood(thats how I used to run the 4500..standing that is)and the smoothness of the hoe is awesome.I have yet to hear from my dealer or from JD as to the delivery of mine, but it better be soon cause I'm startin' to get the shakes.

Well, didn't get my 110 this week, but my salesman called today and said my machine was "going to warehouse" today, which means it is going to be shipped today or tomorrow.I can only hope this is true,I spoke w/the JD engineer on Wednesday and he told me the last of the machines w/the leaky pumps were being finished up and they would start shipping again on Thursday,so I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope it shows up next week.

That sounds encouraging. I hope that I hear from my salesman soon. I've given him a few days to find something out. Bushy.
