Any one have any experience with a Journey utv or a Gorilla. I seen a 08 journey for sale $5,800. 600 miles on it. I coulld buy a New Gorilla for about 1000 more. The Journey seems to have a larger engilne and 3 cyl. and I think fuel injected. I know they are China made. Dont think I would ever find a Rino, Big Red , Gator, mule etc used for that price.

You won't find a used 08 Rhino for that price, but you can find used 06s (or earlier) for that price...

I looked hard at the Chinese ones, especially the 500cc because that's a known, reliable engine -- but in the end chose to spend a few extra $$ for a new 2008 holdover Rhino 450. It was $7000 new...

So far, I'm glad I did... and should I ever need to sell it, I'll be even more appreciative of the fact that I did. There's a reason those Chinese ones are less expensive to buy, and worth far less when used...

You can also find decent prices on used Mules, or you can buy new 610s for about $7K all day long.

My 2 cents...

Of all the China UTV's from what I can find, the Journey is the best. For some reason they have a 5 speed when most others are automatic. You can do a webb search and find out quite a bit about them. But still I havent located any one to talk to about one. I dont know if the person who is selling it would give me a honest opinion. I am trying to find a little bit about it before I drive 200 miles to look at it. I guess they have a 3 cyl motor. I dont know what other utv's have. Every utv search you do, you see the Grollia advertised but no phone # to call or physical address, makes you wonder. Maybe tomorrow then will be selling under another name "Monkey"

Sorry fellows. I must have been asleep. Its "Joyner" I done know how I came up with Jonery.

I looked at some new Joyner utvs a year ago. The big appeal was price. The vehicles "looked" well built with sturdy suspensions, drive trains, and comfortable seats. But the questionable parts availability and service coupled with the problems that I have had with Chinese CV axles on my wife's Jeep(on third axle on passenger side and second on drivers) convinced me to pass on Joyner.

I looked at those. More for park-ranger stuff. Like, no hitch, just front and rear winches. It's more trail and people hauling than for farm/work use.

I did finally got a little (notice little) info on the Gorilla. I think there are 2 or 3 all the same sold by different names. Like you fellows said "parts". Of all the China made, I think the Joyner is the better one. I guess they use them for racing. I think the one has a 5 speed and will go over 63mph. Too fast for me. Will probably keep looking for a brand name. I have seen some being hauled in the bed of a full size pick up truck. Which ones? I looked at a Honda Big Red and you certainly won't get that in a PU. Its as big as my Pu.

Here's a discussion forum for the Joyners. This is the most info, other than company sales "propagands" that I know of:

Joyner UTV Forum - UTV BOARD - Side X Side and UTV Forum

I wouldn't get hung up on what'll fit in the truck bed -- because IMO, that's too much weight up too high to haul for any distance. You might be OK in a duallie, but otherwise I'd be leery of hauling one far that way...

Kent: I really wasnt going to haul it in my PU. I have a enclosed trailer that measures 54" and I would sort of like to get one that I could haul in it, and store it in there if needed. I also have a 5' tilt open bed that I haul my Z-turn mower on, but some of the UTV's I looked at wouldnt even fit on that. I dont think the Joyner would fit on it.
