I've become a fan of these. The knock offs are cheap and work well IMHO. You can change files as need or just have a spare.

No higher then any other saw to me. 13.5K stock

50mm with short 34mm stroke dont make them a torque saw for sure. But will out cut the 272 52mm stock for stock.
But wont touch the 36mm 372 IMHO.

You would know more then I would, it must be their lower torque that made me think that. Still they are very good saw espicially for the time period.

They were champ for a reason 3 year champs. Back then. Why they came out later with the gold decals to commemorate them.

Also there was 3 different cylinders used on the 670. I happen to get lucky and got the one they consider the hottest aka best out of the box stock. Gil2.

Local guy trying to make the champ decals for others. I got a set to just compare.
For collector types that like it for show. Just cant get the gold foil to look right on the afm ones. But beggars cant be to choosy.
I had NOS decals on hand too.

Guy dropped off a $20 2004 Husqvarna 385xp 85cc before last weekend.

Today was able to spend some time with it. Pulled close to 160psi.

He bought as a non runner setting in a shed of his coworker for years.

He got spark after cleaning around that area. But was flooding out.

New oem carb rebuild kit, new rim, new fuel filter, new plug.

Needs a new rear av and carb throttle cable holder.

Runs great. Needs a new b+c. Try and see if I can get that wore out 20" off and least go to 24".

I used to own a 2003 one. IMO stronger in cut then the 1mm bigger bore 390xp that replaced it. Ran both here local.

In all my years I have never saw a saw with the side grip rear handle covers be worn like that.
Amazing and still pulls close to 160psi.

This 60cc came in on trade on some parts another guy needed for a 65cc.

Trying to decide if I should part it to help others or split the cases do bearings and seals and try to save it.

Clutch shows more wear then piston in my eyes.

Hated seeing this one come in hurt. Stihl 034 super.

I'm only one that has serviced it since new. Think he said bought it new in 90-91.

Owner older and saw fell out of tree trimming some limbs. Now he wears duct tape bandage on air filter done by owner.

I ordered him a new oem air filter. Besides the hole that got poked through. He took a brush to the flocking. Which isnt good to do. Lot missing now.

It wears a 460 rescue handle now. This thing is strong and great psi. Getting older suks for him with no decomp.

Also updated it to 2 pawls instead of 1 like came when put new pulley in in past.

Loved my 034, would put it up against my Brother's 064 at the time. The 064 would out cut it by a bit, but I would last longer than my Brother wielding the Heavier Saw.

The Crank Bearing finally turned in the Case. Pin Punched the Case, Green Loc Tite, New Seals and traded it on a 026, which I still run today.

Stihl/Husky area here, and I used to work on both. 266 Husky's and 038 Stihls. Seemed to be the Cutters Choice at that time and we sold tons of them. I still leaned towards Stihls but both were durable saws. The main thing wrong on Huskys was Gas boiling in the Tank, when the Case was Metal.

Owned a few 266. But only got them to flip. Also a 268xp but had a 272 topend I rebuilt. Then a later version open port 268.

The one I like in those types I got a few years is the jonsered 670 champ.

038's do nothing for me. But they do have a cult like following like the 028's also.

Just prefer the 044 440 and 026 260 over those. Heck my 026 was better then the 028 super I owned at same time. I would always grab the 026 over it.

Now never owned the 034 smaller cc. Mine was a 034 with 036 topend. Those are sweet. My 036 pro I rebuilt was sweet too.

Just keeping to some mentioned. Owned alot of saws over the years.
Only one of these I still have is the 670.
