That 034 AV looks like it would cut to the right with that monster pull handle weighing down the left.

Do those chain sharpeners actually work? I had a saw maybe 40 years ago with one and it didn't do squat...never really made it very sharp, and it "sharpened" lopsided so the saw cut on an arc. Think it needed a special chain too. Yanked that assembly right off and got a normal chain.
Old powersharp crap didnt work.

I tested the new power sharp out for Oregon before release and it worked as intended for homeowner type users.
Only comes in picco 3/8LP for small saws.

I tried it on a little poulan and their Oregon battery saw 40v.

I even cut into a brick a good ways and touched it up with their sharpen feature deal and was able to keep cutting. Couldnt do that with a regular chain.

For those folks that cant file a chain or if doing fence rows etc IMO. But they do work the newer ones.

I personally dislike spring assist starters aka a weak link. This body builder owner had no clue it was even on his saw. He sure dont need it.
Going to talk to him about going to standard recoil cover and pulley. About the same dang cost of replacing the spring assist parts.

Someone here was talking with me about the Outwears prefilter and it not working on his 500i filter to help stop the fines.

Jason Egan and logger from ID that now ports saws and coming up with parts for loggers for real world uses has a set up for 500i

Baskets are 3D printed and use Uni filters.

He has a website to order from. Egan Performance Saws.

I got fed up with my gas powered chainsaw spending more time in the shop than actually cutting wood. On a whim I picked up an Ecco 58v cordless. 16" bar and surprisingly effective. I lost a tree to the 'great freeze' this winter in Texas. I was able to process the whole tree (about 20" diameter and 25' high) with that saw. It took a couple of charges to get it all done, but I have two batteries. The battery also works on other things like the weed wacker. I am not especially 'green' but for someone like me who does not have the time or expertise for fixing small gas engines, this has been a good deal.

Guess this was a tester for that new afm filter set up. Said no fines got through.

I was hoping someone else would by these. So today I gave in and made a road trip for the 1986 husqvarna 266xp se in transition years.
Also cub cadet 5220 efco 152 if I recall it right.
4th 266 I have had and 2nd of the CC 152.
Working old school metal chain brake too.

The guy who does custom sawing down the road from me uses an electric Echo around the mill. It's a lot quicker and more convenient than using a gas saw. I've been thinking about one to carry in the truck for moving trees out of the road. Rather than bouncing around in the back getting rained and snowed on, I can have it under the seat.
