Parts are parts. Dropped off for labor to work on a saw for a local.

Only 1 in there has my attention and it has low psi by feel.

The stories some of these saws could tell about past owners.

Clamshell 46cc Poulan 295 4620 2750 etc. This 2750 is chrome bore.
Some folks like them. I just send them down their way once fixed or I part them out. Not for me.
Cut close to the stihl 025 250 clamshell saws.
They are a 1/3 to 1/4 of cost of a 25.
Crap epa line that separates.

Freaking stihl cheap garbage zama china carbs. Hate these carbs. Cheaper to just buy folks new carbs.

I order ones with full adjustments once I do too.

Saw came in and was low psi. Found reason why. Missing circlip.

Flushed several times and air with hose several times. Inspected thinking I found all the pieces of the circlip. Missed one.

After rebuilding with another used topend. 2nd piston locked with missing piece.

All good now though with another top end and inspection.

With a piece of metal bouncing around in there should keep the carbon build up under control.
You should see what a crank bearing or rod bearing does to a piston. :ROFLMAO:

Little used saw a local picked up. Needed fuel line. Oiler not working. So got the redneck check valve fix. All good and running and oiling now. Owner will be happy.

Topped the tanks off while opening the inner baffle on a plastic 46cc poulan that cut like a plastic 025 250.

Was like what the.😂🤣 Freaking plastic cases.

Going to part out this runner and use for cutting roots while still whole.

Had already drilled the freaking tank to use the 3x5 echo like over that tiny tygon line oem uses in trimmers etc too. 🤦‍♂️

I have a case on the shelf, But IMHO plastic saws not worth the time to me. Maybe someone if it was their only saw or something.

So I bought the Echo CS-620 and ran one tank so far.
Feels heavy when hauling to the cutting site, but well balanced when cutting with the 24" bar.
I will say it is a world of difference faster on the bigger Ash trunks than the 490.
And I felt less worn out while using it.
Good power, didn't bog down in the rotted core of one trunk like the 490 would.
Noodled a smaller, 2 feet long by 10" or so Ash crotch, fast, and NO clogging like the 490.

Now the 490 will be used for smaller stuff and as backup.

I might even try and get the old craftsman 49 cc working, not sure what is wrong with that yet. Could be carb or coil.
Didn't see spark, but have not spent any time with it.
