My wife's Toyota doesn't support Android Auto (nor Apple iCarly or whatever it's called) which blows. It has the hardware, they just had "privacy concerns" (bs) and tried to do their own car connectivity thing. I generally don't care but occasionally when we've road tripped it's pissed me off, but I'm not selling a well-running car just because of that bit of tech (I can still play music through its bluetooth, it just doesn't do maps from the phone; it has the toyota maps which aren't bad but it's a hassle to use the car UI to enter addresses so we never do).

I would go that route if I bought one. I have the 3.0 Duramax in my Yukon. I really like it. I have had it a little over a year and 17,000 miles. Combined mileage is 24 mpg, over 30 mpg on the highway. I don't do a lot of highway travel now that we are retired.

My thoughts would be, what does the 3.0 Duramax offer as advantages for its upcharge? It does have about 100 ft/lbs more torque, but from what I've seen, it's only available in pretty high trim models. Basically, making the 3.0DM require a $60k plus truck.
Do you need the extra 115 or so FT/lbs? They are both rated to tow the same. The 3.0 doesn't make it a 5/8 ton truck in capability

That's hilarious. Toyota, who is widely criticized as having some of the worst privacy practices in the entire industry, has concerns with Apple?!? If there's one good thing that can be said about Apple, it's that their privacy policies and practices have been mostly always better than their competition.
No you can get it in any Chevy or GMC 1/2 ton over there base work truck level I've been building and pricing quite a few recently. Dealership let me take a 1/2 ton 3.0 home for a night it's nice torquey quiet and smooth. Unfortunately it has heated cloth seats and a heated steering wheel plus its white and doesn't have a rubberized vinyl floor
My 7 yr old might have done more to sell a truck like that to me if I buy it than any salesman ever could have.It definitely doesn't add as much as a 6.6 Duramax does. I really liked the Chevy trail boss custom low mid trim level with a 3.0 but hardly anythings out there in that trim level especially with the he 3.0. initially I thought what gm calls the turbo max was the 3.0 diesel. Lol it's not it's just a gas engine with a turbo. Kind of like when I was looking at there 3/4 and one tons finding a 6.6 rather inexpensive occasionally cuz that was also gas not the 6.6 Duramax
