- Mahindra 8560, John Deere 5510, CaseIH 265 offset, Massey Ferguson 471
Hello,
I am looking forward to being able to get answers to problems that have me stumped as well as to pass along some of my experiences to others. I live in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in north central Arkansas. I am a high school Agriculture Education instructor by profession, part time farmer and equipment trader, and husband of 26 years to a wonderful wife in my spare time. Our farming interests consist of about 350 acres on which we produce watermelons, hay and pasture land for cattle. Because we do a lot of equipment trading we could be using almost any brand at any given time but are somewhat biased toward John Deere green. My first new purchase however, was a CaseIH 265 offset cultivating tractor in 1989 which we still use. In 2000 I purchased a new John Deere 5510 cab tractor that I will probably keep forever, and have just this month purchased a new Mahindra 8560 that seems to have lots of potential for the price.
Thanks to the folks at TractorByNet for providing this opportunity to share ideas and information.
