One of the things that's had me anxious was how the east side planter would look with coping.

Tomorrow it will be the grotto's turn to be finished out.

I didn't lay in the conduit for the submersible pump that's going to provide the water from the pond to the fountain system.

So we cut a three by four trench in the concrete so we could put in a two and a half inch PVC pipe.

The client and the guys have complained about the existing cinderblock shelving along the front of the greenhouse.

Today the guys took care of it.

We talked about it this morning. Then while I was getting the excavator they had it started and so most of the day was spent in that area.

They did good.

Harv,

Glad to see you back, did you get the same crew you had before your vacation? Not sure how day labor works in the area of dedication to someone.

The guys know how to make a guy feel real humble.

They were glad to see me. It seems the same magic wasn't with the other guy. They quit. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

We did lose one guy while I was gone. Usualy I pay them every day. But do some stuff I paid them for three days the last day before vacation.

I overpaid two of them by fifty dollars, hard day, my mistake. One of them caught it and corrected me. The other didn't and then demanded the others not clue me in when I got back.

So when I got back I was one short. I guess they figured if he'd cheat me then he'd cheat them eventually.

Two of them are going back to Mexico, one this week and the other next week. They'll come back in March when it's not quite so cool.

I've got probably a thousand pictures of the project between me and the client's cameras. So tonight I'll be transferring all those to DVD. It seems they have DVD players at home in Mexico and they want to show their family their work. I don't blame them.

Here's what they've done to the greenhouse. I guess they just didn't think good enough was good enough.

We used large slabs for stairs down to the grotto from the path above.

I wonder, fifty years from now, when someone looks at the tractor rock if they will have a clue to it's origin? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
