Your command is my wish... ?At any rate, here is the tractor and junker dump truck, (I love it!). Still building roads when my health permits.

Geat lookin tractor , thanks for the pics . Thats quite the rigging on the rear Maine_Polack . I realise its a backblade. Trailer hitch , rear weight & chain carryier . But whats the top part of the deal on the rear for? Sorry if that dont make sense . . Tractor looks darn near bulletproof. :D . Bob

It has been an interesting thread . The only thing its missing is a pic of Your tractor . That way You wouldn,t have to listen of how this thread is not tractor related & We all love pics. :D . Bob

Everything is related. The time spent by the O.P. on this, has directly taken away from his time operating his tractor. Many here would consider that a serious issue.

The noise can also startle livestock, and your help, potentially reducing milk production, and egg production. This would of course, limit the amount of money one has to spend on a new tractor.

I would have thought this would all be obvious.

What you see hanging off the 3ph. is a forestry winch. The top part is a pully that carries a rope. This rope, when pulled from the side, (for safety), activates the winch that drags the logs to the tractor. I added the chain slots, cause I kept loosing chains. I also added a receiver, for the hitch or ?.

The weights are actually the front weights that came with the purchase of the tractor. I made brackets so I could hang them on the winch, when using it for traction weight.

I still have more work to do to make it more "bullet proof, but it is getting there. The roof I built did save me from getting slammed by a tree. It landed on the roof and I'm still here.

Pictures of my latest endeavor. This is a wet spot, and the rain this year, up to a couple of weeks ago has been almost constant. It has dried out enough so I could finished shaping and seeding it.

Was pulling the roller with my 4 wheeler, and it slid behind the tree. Try as I might I could not get it free. The wheeler was constrained by the ditch and the wall of the ditch. I did not want to unload the roller, so finally I, and the wheeler, gave a very loud grunt, and just gunned it. The tree is now not happy. It will be when it is firewood though;)

Everything is related. The time spent by the O.P. on this, has directly taken away from his time operating his tractor. Many here would consider that a serious issue.

YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! (Smart man, that ray66v is.)

That roller you have looks interesting. who and how was it made? Either that's a big tractor or a small truck. :D
Good luck with the neighbor thing. It's amazing how one person can give a whole group a bad name. I live in an area where there a lot of people who ride bicycles. Most are pretty good, but every now and then you get those who think they own the road and you're suppose to just follow them at 10MPH.

The tractor does sit rather high. I still manage to get it stuck now and then. Last night for instance....I was driving over a bunch of logs, (14-24" dia.), in reverse. Managed to slide off of one and there I was sitting high and dry. The skid plate was sitting on the logs and the wheels were justaspinnin'. Talked to myself some....

The roller came out of a mill. I can't fill it. Tried and it is apparently full of baffles/supports inside. I just put it in a frame, with some pillow block bearings, and beefed everything up, so I wouldn't have to repair it a lot. Don't use it real often, but when needed it is there.

Also when she realized her mistake, she became a slight bit testy. Now wants me to draw her a picture as to what is taking place.

Never miss a chance to put your side of the story in writing. I know it would be easier to just call up and have them listen to you, but Santa isn't going to bring that.

1. Do your own Google Earth investigation, print out the result and send it, with a letter of explanation to the FAA. This can be the basis for further complaint.

2. Call your congressman and get his help. After you have explained the situation, a copy of the letter to the FAA would be good, do NOT just send him a copy with no explanation or previous contact.

3. Plant some fast-growing trees along the flight path. This is not an immediate solution, but will eventually help.

4. If you can prove the runway really is in a different direction, a sudden interest in ham radio, complete with a very tall antenna, will definitely get his attention...

I would have found it very funny if the OP had said, "Tractor? I don't own a tractor." :)

I agree. It has been a good read and I'm glad (fingers crossed) that the situation has came to a peaceful end.
