Hey ArlyA it surprised me to read the venomous massasauga rattlesnake has been recorded and found in Mackinac County in the UP just across nw of the bridge . You never heard any rumors of any spotted way W/NW in the UP near you have you ? Just wondered because of the lower temps and all that snow ..................

No venomous massasauga rattlesnake's that I've heard of. Where did you hear this at?? Most of the UP is not in a snow belt. This map shows the Sault in it, but that's being a bit liberal. :laughing:

Going through this classic PC to delete old photos, were is a few more. These I took this winter while operated a Trail Bully 400 on snowmobile trails. Let me know if you like them.

Interesting pictures Arlyn. That Trail Bully looks a lot like a small version of a Thiokol. There must be a club(s) that take trail grooming seriously. Thiokols & Nodwells are used extensively for oil exploration, pipeline maintenance, etc in AK. Both summer and winter.

Rolf. Thiokols & Nodwell snowcats are no longer being built. A few are still being used when parts can be made or had, but not built.

I'll post more snow photos when I find some interesting ones. Thanks to all for your kind comments!!!

Greetings again ArlyA ! Hey would you know anything about snowshoes ? I have a set I believe to be at least 50 years old .
Made in Canada by SafesSport , they say on them imported to Denver , Co . Cant find much info on them . The inner laceing if thats what its called I was told were made from some part of the innards from Moose . Looks like rawhide .

Snowshoe builders come and go like the weather. That is a pretty standard design of a shoe but I've not heard of that manufacture before. Sorry
