I went to find a fuel filter after checking here. Usually my NAPA store is very good but they are closed on Sundays, so I had to go to the competitor down the road. I walk in and here is what transpired with the kid behind the counter.

Me - I need a fuel filter for my tractor (he didn't let me get any further)

Kid - We don't sell tractor parts , you'll have to go to tractor supply

Me - You can't cross reference a Wix number?

Kid - yes, but we don't carry wix filters for tractors

Me - it is number blah, blah, blah

Kid - comes back with a Wix filter in his hand.

Also, Here is a Spreadsheet I have made of all my cross-referenced filters for my 2014 DK45SEH. I also have volumes, Types, and my own change history on there. Maybe others could find the format useful. I'm not sure if I can put the excel document on here, but this is a screenshot.

You can put the kioti part number in the cross reference on Wixç—´ website and it will give you two Wix part numbers. Both will work but one is a little taller but about an inch. My kioti DS4110 will fit both. Just measure the distance between the filter and the closest panel or obstruction and if you have at least an inch clearance, youæ±*e good.

I am going to give these Baldwin filters a try hope they are the right ones . Everything I can find says they should work

Technically, so long as the replacement filter meets or exceeds the performance of the oem filter, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prohibits the tractor manufacturer from voiding the warranty based solely on its use. But how do you show that? The burden of proof will be on the consumer to establish that equivalency. As a practical matter, that's a tough row to hoe for a tractor owner in the absence of published and verifiable specifications for the replacement that can be matched up closely with the oem specs. Even then, the tractor manufacturer might dispute the equivalency for the particular application, and the tractor owner is then left with the expensive remedy of litigation. That will mean the additional cost of bringing in an expert witness to testify to equivalency.

Just something for all of us to keep in mind when trying to save money by trying to cross-reference HST and hydraulic filters for tractors that are still under warranty.
