I think I see what you are saying Eric. I just looked at the treadle dampening cylinder on my newly dated 2012 CK35 HST, and it resides about 5" away from and above the hydro block. I imagine the hydro block is radiating some heat to warm up the dampener.
By the way, could you give a recommendation on a decent, valued priced, point and shoot thermo?

For what we're doing, any of those cheap home-improvement store pyrometers work fine. The expensive ones are for specialized uses and are either more accurate, or more likely, have a much higher range (for example: determining the right temperature for pouring metal for foundry work). I looked it up.

2013 start with N, 2014 O, 2015 P. Next group will be N39 for NX6010CH followed by the number made. So my NX6010CH
serial number is NN3900044 for 2013, number 44. Odd since they where all announced as 2014 models.

P would be 2015. Did you go into the future, buy a tractor and return with it to the present? Seriously though, I don't see how you could possibly have bought a P tractor in 2014, those numbers indicate the actual year of manufacturer, not model year like automobiles.

Did they Skip O (the letter O) to not confuse it with Zero? I know a lot of manufactures will skip O's and I's.
