Kioti Quality

I'm on my second Kioti TLB. First was a CK20 and now I have the DK40se. I would not have stayed with the same company if they didn't offer a product that was both excellent in quality and in value.

Compare the price of a new Kubota B21 (or the next version) to a CK20 TLB. It will cost about $10,000 more. Now check out the specs. Loaders are equivalent. CK20 has more PTO power. Kubota BH is a foot longer and stronger but not $10,000 worth. If you don't think the excellent Kioti BH2465 is adequate then talk to a dealer about putting on a Woods BH70x.

For a construction company the Kubota B TLB makes sense but for private use the CK20 configured as TLB makes an awful lot of sense. And, you can mow with it!

to put the B21 in the same league with a CK20 is totally unfair, you all know that... but no one fesses up to it. They are both about 20Hp... the similarities end there. Kubota's series of TLB's are made for construction companies and rental yards, not home owners. They are made to take a level of abuse that would snap a typical tractor in two. Comparisions to a B-series (7510/7610/etc) are very fair, but at the monent Kioti (and most companies) don't really make anything like the B21.

I'd have to agree. The comparison should be to a B7510 /7610 with a backhoe.

Notice that I specifically mentioned that the B21 made sense for a construction company and that I was talking about specifications such as FEL lift etc. I would completely agree that the B21 is the stouter machine in comparison with the CK20 but for a homeowner the CK20 will do just about everything the B21 will do and save 10,000.

I wouldn't buy a ford, they are all junk, and you'll have a hard time getting parts. I wouldn't buy a toyota, they are all junk, and you'll have a hard time getting parts.

It sounds like a very stupid comment made by someone trying to sell you what they want to sell you, and not what you may or may not need. I haven't had my tractor very long, only a couple of months, and have not had any real issues. One little vibration issue, that was solved quickly by the dealer, but that was it. When I compare this to my previous tractor, there is no comparison. Within a week of owning my other tractor (not a kioti) it was back in the shop for new coolant lines, coolant container, and two bolts that poped out. It went back to the shop at least once every 2-3 months over the entire warranty.

Just one rednecks opinion, worth exactly what you paid for it.

In 6 months this CK30 has 60 hours of knocking over trees, digging stumps and bulldozing dirt. *i didn't say that* . Never a whimper and the initial 50hr maintenance is easy. I'm an occasional welder and admire the strong welds and reinforcing plates where needed. (I've an '07 model, the FEL arms on older models had a fine crack problem). In 4-LO with the rear-differential locked this l'il tractor reminds me of being on tracks. I like the heavier build and weight of Kioti over some others, just what is needed to push things around with. I love it.

I agree with Nixon. My final two choices were Kioti and Massey Ferguson. I went with the MF since the dealer was much closer. The MF also had a little bit better specs. But I was very impressed by the Kioti. If there had been a dealer close by, I would have had a lot of problems making a decision. Previous posts by TBN'ers have strongly suggested that a "Dealer is very important in the final decision. I don't think the reseller you were talking to had any thing important to say or do in trying to steer you into a decision that he wanted.

Kubota BX24 owner here. It was a close one between the BX and the CK20HST. The BX won because of it's size. Really perfect for what I need. 1 1/2 acres. The Kioti really impressed me. If Kubota didn't have the Sub compact BX, I probably would have gone with the CK20 over a Kubota B7510 or such. I've only heard positive things about the Kiotis and after trying one out, I can say it is really a well made machine. If the price spread from the CK20 to the BX was a little closer, I might have still gone up to the bigger machine. When I was looking, the best deal I could get on a CK20HST TLB was $17500. That was before the new backhoe came out. The price difference was a good trailer.

I concur that Kubota B21 (or B26 or L39) is a different class from anything Kioti makes.

HOWEVER, I have looked closely at Kiotis several times and driven two of them and I am confident that they are very well built. I would put them in the same clase as JD, NH and Kubota CUT type tractors, personally (there is a big difference in construction between CUTs and ag tractors and since Kioti doesn't make any true ag tractor - I'm not counting the DK65 as fully into the utility class - I don't have an apples to apples comparison in the ag class). I own a JD but I seriously shopped Kioti and would shop them again if looking for something in the size range they make. The main reason I didn't buy a Kioti was distance from the dealer (40 miles) and a really good deal on a JD. At some times I wish I had bought a DK45 or DK55 cab model that I could have afforded, instead of my JD 5105 ROPS model. I am not saying there are absolutely no differences in quality - I think JD is the top in utility and larger tractors - but I would be quite happy to own a Kioti (or a Kubota or NH or AGCO or possibly others). Comparing CUTs to CUTs, I'm not convinced there is a meaningful difference between the "big 3" and Kioti.
