Kioti RX6620-RX7320 VS. Kubota M6060-M7060

I'm just a farmer who owns both Kubota and Kioti products. I have an L3400HST Kubota that's been bulletproof. Owned a L4400HST that was good too but sold it to buy a cab 60HP Kioti RX6010C with 200 hours on it. Based on experience the Kioti is not made and engineered nearly as well as the Kubota products.

I've fought the RX6010 running too hot even though I clean and wash out the radiator, checked hoses and water pump and made sure coolant mix is good. The tractor doesn't have the torque a 60HP tractor should have. Kioti rates their HP at 2600 RPM and the Kubota M6060 or M7060 rates theirs at 2400 RPM. The Kioiti uses a 148.5 cu.in. motor and Kubota uses a 203 cu.in. motor. Those extra cu.in. seem to make a big difference in torque, even though the HP numbers are similar.

Recently snapped a clutch cable at 280 hours shutting me down in the field, and of course the Kioti dealer doesn't have one in stock. If I had it to do all over again I'd opt to buy a Kubota M7060 and spend a little more, but have something that works all day.

Do you think Kubota dealers keep all of there parts in house in stock?Heck know they don,t,I speak from experience.Waited 2 plus weeks on axle parts for my 2006 kubota RTV.Just a option here if you really don,t like your Kioti tractor SELL IT..

I've often wondered about that 2.4L turbo engine in the RX and how it does at the low RPM. Is it low on torque just at idle or is it also low on torque at 1500 RPM... 2000RPM. I really like the RX platform and could seem myself going to one in the future. However, I can't stand low torque engines in a tractor. (heck I can't stand low torque engines in anything!). I have a Kioti DS4510HS and it's been perfect so far but I only have 150hrs so it should be perfect. It has a naturally aspirated pre-Tier IV engine 2.2L and I think the torque is great. It's rated at 2600 RPM also but the torque feels like it rises down to 1700 RPM and then holds almost flat down to 1000 RPM which is idle speed. What is the shape of the torque curve on the RX?

I am surprised to learn the RX models even use a clutch cable. It's all rigid linkages on my DK. I guess we need to extrapolate CK/DK experience with care.

Not sure if I'm expecting too much but the RX6010 struggles alot in anything over 10 inches of grass with the 8 ft. BH3008 twin spindle cutter. I used it behind my Kubota L4400HST and it struggled of course, and I wanted a cab anyway, so I sold it and bought the RX6010 and thought it would handle it fine. It does not have any power at all below 2000RPM, and I spin it about 2300 under load (Will dog all the way to a stall in heavy grass). In contrast, my 3 cyl. Farmtrac 435 (35HP) turns 1800 and plows thru heavy stuff with a 6ft cutter with ease. My Kubota L3400HST even handles a 6ft hog but I've got to go pretty slow.

If I could sell my RX6010 and get anywhere close to my investment back I would, but I think I'm stuck with it. And yes, a tractor that size shouldn't use a motorcycle type cable to control the clutch.

I agree......using a motorcycle type cable for a 60-70 HP Utility tractor is crazy, and a very bad design. Only good thing was cable was only $30. I ordered an extra for the next time it breaks, maybe 200-300hours more. LOL

Thank you very much for posting about the 6010. I am really looking at the 7320 but am just worried as I have always been a Kubota guy and don't want to get stuck with a tractor that I am disappointed with and cant sell. Thanks again, Glenn

Really don,t care what you think.Is a $30 repair on a $30,000 plus tractor really that tragic to have a hissy fit over?If the OP really does not like his tractor sell the dang thing.Where in my post did I say Kioti was my favorite brand?Think again.I choose what brand fits my needs but Kioti is near the top..LOL

I agree, also, I have really really really hard time believing a 60HP tractor can't handle an 8ft cutter in light grass. If that was a problem with the series, we would have heard of it. I'm pretty sure there are people here with RXs that use them for heavy ground engaging tasks with no problem. Also, cutting at <2000 rpms is going to bog down a tractor with a bigger cutter, get it up to 2400 and see what happens.

Well I wish the people with RX7320's or other RX models would speak up because I am really on the fence in regards to the Kioti. I was going to go check out a Massey 4608 today and may end up going back to Kubota but I am not a cheerleader for any one brand and am open to going with something new. That said we have had Kubotas for years and have 90% of the time been happy.

I agree Kioti RX7230 owners should chime in with there experiences.The 3 tractors you have listed are quality brands and should hold up to most tasks one could put them threw.

OK, I just finsihed 3rd cutting with a RX7320 Power Shuttle Tractor. Ran a 9' haybine easily. Pulled and ran a Case 8520 baler with a kicker, and a kicker wagon with 120 bales in it. The tractor never hesitated on any of it. Could have run a larger haybine and pulled a larger wagon.

The only comment, these engines are turbo-charged. They run best with the turbo kikcked in. The DK55 was the same way. Seemed a little under powered until the turbo openned up, then hold on to your shorts.

Always difficult to compare a naturally aspirated engine to a turbo engine. The torque curves are obviously different. Natural will have a little better low end torque, the turbo will out perform the naturally aspirated engine at higher RPM's.

The RX7320 will definitely run an 8' cutter......unless there is something wrong with the cutter.

I plan to order a 7320 at the end of the month. Won't be dragging a cutter behind it for quite some time but will be doing a lot of ground work. I can't wait to post on how it does.

Just for your information.....
Internet threads will not strengthen a clutch cable......
