Thank's for all the info guy's. I was going to use 5/8 just because I was told it was better for the ceiling I really didn't know. I have been discussing with the "project manager's" about getting some one in on a quick cash job to tape it. It is a small room about 16x12 and what would take me 3-4 day's with so-so result's could be knocked out in 2 with out all the extra dust from sanding. Sorry about no new pic's but this project seem's to lead to another and not much progress has been made. Example just rained Sun 1st time since we gutted the place while working last night I noticed a puddle on the floor found it was came from the vent for the plumbing instead of putting up vent flashing the previous owner's just gooped tar around it and now it leak's but this one will be farmed out and done right cause if it leak's again there will be a brand new kitchen with new water mark's to go with it.

It has been a while since I have updated my slow progress so as of today the floor is now straight, sturdy and level. The ceiling is now 7'9" up from 6'5" and all the plumbing is done also fiqured while the ceiling was out might as well re plumb the second floor bath and laundry in cpvc as well. here is a pic of the corner that sagged almost 6" in a 12 foot span nice and level now

And here is a shot of some of the drainage that had to be redone. A friend of mine is a master plumber and I have helped him out many of time's and have alway's joked with him that a monkey could plumb well after replumbing this house this monkey does not want to do it again it is not hard but you have to think 20 step's ahead and even then it still might not fit how it is supposed to. Oh just ignore the crooked blocking it was the end of a long hot day

Sure looks like your doing quality work!!!

Nothing like taking your time and doing it right. Now that I see how good your doing on the framing and plumbing, I'm even more interested in seeing how the finish will turn out.

Thanks for the update,
Eddie

Well, finally reached a turning point today The wall's are painted and the cabinet's are hung. It took a while to get to this point due to the fact that I tried to mud the drywall but after one wall taking 1.5 hr's and looking like crap I took everyone's and advice and had someone do it. Cost $500 but it was done right. Also due to the rain and the company I work for declared a state of emergency and for the past month have worked 6-7 day's a week for 10-12 hour's plus working on the farm in the a.m.
Here are some pic's the kid in the second one is my 14 y.o. brother/apprentince with out his help we wouldn't be this far.

Well I can say that I am finally done. It is a simple little kitchen nothing more nothing less but man all of the little thing's seem to take forever and what I estimated to take 2 hr's really would take 4. Good thing I didn't bid on this job or I would have lost my shirt. I don't know how the pro's do it and come out ahead. Here are some pic's of it completed the 1st on is of what it looked like before and the rest are just some misc. pic's of the room completed. 1 question though after you look at the pic's would you guy's put crown at the top of the cabinet's or leave as is? I wanted to put up the crown to finish it off but I am not the one paying the bill. Also there are no wall plates on the tile back splash cause I ran out of longer screw's to attach the outlet's to the boxes.
